The next exhibit we saw was the rainbow strings! It was really amazing!! There were different colored strings with a light shining on them. It really looked like we were walking in a rainbow. It was so cool!!

The next exhibit were mountains of index cards! It was so cool seeing them all stacked like that!

Then we headed upstairs among the cool shimmering light fixture. Then we laid on the rug that resembled the ocean floor and looked at the exhibit depicting a tsunami in Japan in 2011. It was really amazing!

The next stop was the huge tree made from small wooden blocks. First we got to see the tree from the bottom looking up, then we got to look at the entire tree on it's side. It was really beautiful!

The next stop, the marbles set up to look like the Chesapeake Bay, including it's tributaries heading up the walls. It was amazing! I wanted to touch them so bad!

This was a hand blown chandelier made of glass. It was really cool too!

We went through a cool room with a huge structure made of old car tires but Mama forgot to take a picture of it. Our last stop was the really cool room painted pink with lots of designs on the walls. Unfortunately we realized that those cool designs were all really big BUGS!!! Yuck! But it was still pretty interesting...

The next stop was the White House! We were so happy to see where President Obama lives!

Then we got to see some street performers. They were SO good. I even got to give them a dollar in their bucket. I loved it!

Then we did some exploring and sight seeing. We checked out the White House Christmas Tree and the trees from all the states around it. Then we checked out the awesome train display around the tree. It was really a good one! Then we headed back to our car and on to the National Gallery of Art.

We were really happy because Daddy met us to go to the art gallery! First we checked out the waterfall that comes INSIDE the museum!! It was tricky though because you couldn't really touch or feel the water. It was behind the glass but it was really neat. Mama told us that her Grandma, Ema, Used to bring her to the National Gallery all the time when she was little. It's one of Mama's favorite places...

There were some really amazing things to see at the art gallery. We didn't even scratch the surface. But it was getting late and my little brothers were fading fast after our exciting adventures already today. Mama promised me that we'd come back here first thing one day and see as much as we possibly can. I have a feeling we could spend every day of a whole week there and not see it all by a long shot! But what we saw was great and I can't wait to go back!!

It was another great day in DC! When we got home Mama started our New Year's Eve roast, Jax fell asleep and then Kai and I got to go play with our friends Aidan and Rowan for a while. We had fun running around their house and playing games with them!

Then it was time to eat our traditional New Year's Eve delicious dinner!! We had roast and cheesy vegetables and roasted artichokes and buttered noodles. Daddy had us all do a toast to end 2015 and to ring in 2016! It was a good year but we're looking forward to 2016 being an even better one! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
