Today was a beautiful beach day and we planned to spend the whole day in the sunshine...well and also under the canopy but mostly in the frigid water!

                                       

                                       

                                       

And do a little snacking! Mama made some yummy shrimp salad that we all snacked on all day! It was deelish!

                                        

We played some ball with our beach buddies. It was great!

                                       

                                      

Then we all spent some time in the water. It sure looked nice but Daddy and Mama said it was like ice!

                                     

                                      

                                       

Didn't matter to us! We were having a blast splashing around!

                                       

And we saw some cool helicopters!

                                       

                                       

                                       

It was a beautiful day at the beach!

                                       

Later Daddy and Mama went to see Mama's friend Miss Angela at her beach house. She had a little party and they had lots of fun!

                                       

Daddy even ran into an old friend from Radford! It was a good night!

                                        

This morning Mama got up early to check out the sunrise. She wasn't sure if it might be too hazy to see the sun coming up but she got a beautiful surprise as the sun showed itself! 

                                      

                                       

                                       

                                       

Mama said the pictures didn't do it justice. The sun looked like a huge, glowing, pink ball in the sky!

                                       

                                       

But we think the pictures look amazing too! So pretty and the colors are just beautiful!

                                        

                                       

                                      

                                       

Then I got to play around with the reusable water balloons we got. They work great and we can't wait to take them to Nana and Papi's house so we don't leave such a big mess with the non-reusable ones!

                                        

Later it was time for burgers on the porch! Everything was so tasty and it was a beautiful night for dinner al fresco!

                                        

And after dinner we headed out to the beach to play a little football. Nighttime beach football is always fun!

                                        

                                       

                                       

Today Daddy had to go home because he has to work tomorrow so I sent him home with Bun Buns #1. Daddy took good care of him and made sure he was buckled up for the ride home! 

                                       

It looked a little gray in the morning but then the sun came out and Mama and I hung out and read our books on the beach. That sun felt glorious!

                                       

                                       

Then Mama saw this crazy cloud formation that looked like a dragon!

                                       

Daddy took Bun Buns to MeMaw and PopPop's house for dinner. He was getting spoiled and he had a pretty great dinner!

                                     

                                       

Meanwhile...we decided to try out the tik tok recipe that I found for s'mores chocolate chip cookies! We put our graham crackers down, then the chocolate chips...

                                       

...Then the marshmallows...

                                       

Then we encased the whole thing with chocolate chip cookie dough...

                                       

And voila! They looked just like the ones online. Now it's time to taste test them!

                                      

                                      

                                       

                                       

They were delicious BUT we think they need more marshmallow evenly distributed throughout the cookie. Now we have to figure out how to do that. That will be our next experiment later this week!
