Today was a fun day because in the morning we got ready and headed to Grandma and Granddaddy's house. We did some coloring and some playing. We dressed Lucy in lots of beads and we had a yummy lunch. Grandma even gave us some mint chocolate chip ice cream for desert!! Yum, Yum! Even Lucy had fun playing with us, running around the yard, chasing a ball and just relaxing in the sun. It was a good day!

                

               



               



                 

Today was the coldest day of my life. And Mommy decided to take me all over the universe after we dropped Kai off at school. We went to Costco and froze our little buns off. Then we went to Trader Joe's and semi froze our little buns off. Then we went to Giant and froze our buns off just a little bit.  Then we headed back to pick Kai up from school and I was exhausted! I'm glad Mommy didn't ask me to drive...

                

It was so cold outside today that we played in the Great Hall at school instead of going outside. We were happy about that. We also learned about fire safety and made our very own fire fighter hats! When we got home we had a quick, surprise visit from Papi! He went on a Safari with me and we were really happy to see him. We haven't seen him in so long because he's been so sick!





When Daddy got home we did lots of playing while Mommy got dinner ready. We even got to do some coloring. I colored my whole hand green. It was great!

                

This morning our friends Logan and Jaxson came over to play with us for a little while. It was the first time they've been to our house and we had fun showing them our toys and playing with them. I think they had fun too because Logan didn't want to go home!





Today was also a very special day because it was Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday and it was President Obama's second term inauguration!! We didn't get to go watch it in person this year but we did watch it with Mommy on tv. Our Daddy has a really exciting job and he was right there for all the action, he even sent us some cool pictures! We looked for Daddy and our Auntie's and Nana on television but we didn't see them. We watched the President and Mrs. Obama come out onto the stage. We watched the musical guests sing beautiful songs and we listened to President Obama's swearing in and speech. Mommy told us that we were watching history.

                



                

               

Later we got to meet MeMaw and PopPop at IHOP for dinner. It was yummy and so much fun. When we were done eating (making a mess) Daddy let us run around a little bit because the restaurant was not very crowded. We had fun being little monsters!!

Today was our friend Leighton's Birthday party at the Audubon Society in Bethesda. We got to touch all the fun things like deer antlers, animal skulls, feathers and snake skins. We also learned about different animal foot prints and how to identify them. Then we went for a hike in the woods. We saw a fox's home - he had a front door and a back door, just like my house! We saw a squirrel nest and we even saw some deer running through the woods!! Then Mommy and I spotted a deer print in the mud. It looked just like the print that Miss Jessica showed us in the classroom! Then we got to go back and eat pizza and cake and ice cream. It was a great party!













When we got home it was still so nice outside that Mommy and Daddy let us keep playing in the yard. We played with stickers and our ride on cars and then Kai and Daddy had a scavenger hunt. It sure was a beautiful January day!

This morning Daddy helped us make a fort in the living room. We had our Thomas tunnel and blankets and chairs all over the place. It was awesome and we had so much fun!



Then Daddy had to go to work. We were sad about that but Daddy has a very important job getting ready for President Obama's Inauguration so we understand. We couldn't really go anywhere because the gas company guys had us trapped in our house! They made a big mess in the street, our yard and in Ron and Carole's yard! There were holes and dirt all over the place. They had diggers and machines. But they were just doing their job and we likes watching it. It was a nice day outside so once Finn was down for his nap Mommy let me play outside on the front porch for a little while. We didn't go anywhere but it sure was an exciting day!

Today it was cold, cold, cold outside and we didn't have anything that we had to do so Mommy decided that we'd spend the day at home! We did lots of playing in the play room, we did lots of art work and coloring. We had a great day at home!

                

When Daddy got home from work we all got ready and headed out to meet Grandma, Granddaddy and Great Ema for dinner! We had so much fun and had a yummy dinner. Kai even had a super, duper piece of cake for dessert. At least he did share it with us...









When we got home we got ready for bed and brushed our teeth. Mommy can't understand why her mirror is always covered with our dirty little hand prints...

               

Today I was so lucky because Daddy took me to school, just him and I! It was really cool to have Daddy take me to school alone. At school we got to play outside and play. We went to Chapel and Mr. Pennebaker taught us all about the organ! We learned about how it makes music and sounds. We learned that there are metal and wood pipes. It was very neat.

               







Mommy and I had fun playing while Kai was at school today but I sure did miss him. I was looking all over the house, calling Kai's name, but he just wasn't there. I was happy when we went to pick him up from school! Later Auntie Nay Nay and Auntie Rita came over for dinner. It was a nice surprise and we did a lot of playing with our Aunties. I had to make a few business deals while they were here but they understood. A baby's work is never done...
