This morning my brothers were not excited to go back to school after a nice, long weekend of staying up late and sleeping in. Only Finn was excited because it was his last day of school!! We can't believe it. Where did this school year go? I got to go to Grandma's house with Mama. I got to play in the sink with my cars and monster trucks!

                                   

                                  



Then I ate some M&M's and pickles. I sure do have a weird pallet!



                                   

Then I got to make my favorite, a quiche! I hear it turned out really well but I wouldn't know because I wouldn't try it! I like cooking, not eating...

                                   

                                   

Then I made a call to my friends Emmet and Liam. Then I called Daddy at the office. We had some good talks. Well, not really, it was just pretend.

                                   

                                   

Then I did some painting...I made a beautiful rainbow!

                                  

                                   

Then I relaxed and watched some shows. I sure was busy today!

                                   

Later after school my brothers and I all played upstairs in the playroom. We were supposed to be cleaning but we got to it once we were done playing...

                                   

Then our friend Joseph came over to hang for a little while.

                                   

Then it was time to help make dinner!! We were having home made pizza! We put on cheese and pancetta and pepperoni and mushrooms. And we may have taken a few little nibbles of our toppings. Mama says that's okay when you're the chef!









We were really proud of our pie! We can't wait until it's cooked. Then Mama had to head out to go set up for Kindergarten graduation tomorrow! She can't believe that Finn is graduating from Kindergarten already and that he's going to be a 1st grader!!! We're all not sure how this school year went by so fast!

                                   

This morning we got to sleep in a little. Then my brothers and I snuggled up and watched some videos on the iPad on this grey day.

                                  

Then we picked up Nana and Papi and met Auntie Nay Nay at La Fonda, the Columbian place for some desayuno...that's breakfast in Spanish!

                                  

                                  

                                  

It was delicious! I had Mango juice, Kai had guayabana juice and Jax had orange juice. We got a Coumbian breakfast with rice and beans, eggs and sausage, plantains and spanish white cheese and Mama even ordered special bacon for Jax our little bacon monster!



                                   





Then, lo and behold, the rain and drizzle stopped,  the actual SUN came out and the temperature rose and it finally became a pool day! We were sad that we didn't get to go to Calverton pool this weekend because of all the rain on Saturday and Sunday but we had planned to make Monday a Northwest Branch pool day because they were having their Memorial Day pool party. 

                                  

                                  

They had free burgers and hot dogs and everyone brought sides and desserts to share! Boy was it crowded and boy was that water cold. But we made the best of it and after a while either the water got warmer or our bodies became numb because we were able to get in the water and have fun!

                                   

                                   

                                  

                                  

I got to enjoy the diving board and the water slide. That was super fun! We ran into lots of friends and of course our buddy Joseph was there! We had a really fun time and we can't wait to come back when it's less crowded throughout the summer!

                                  

                                   

                                   

                                   



We even spent some time in the playground and the sand box. That was super fun too!

                                  

                                  

                                  

                                  

Mama said we're going to try out swim team. The first practices start this week. We get to try it out and see if we like it before we sign up. I found out that some other friends that I know will also be on the swim team. Mama also might sign Finn and Jax up for pre-team, that's a swim team for little guys. You don't even have to know how to swim well, they teach you! All in all it was a good first day at the pool and a good welcome to summer. We even got to bring some hot dogs and burgers home for dinner! It was a good day and boy are we all beat! Back to school and the real world tomorrow...

This morning started, much to our dismay, with 9 o'clock mass. We sat in a pew with our friend Zahara and her dad and baby sister and Bernadette and her mom. We saw lots of our friends in church today but lots were missing because they were probably traveling for the holiday weekend.

                                  

                                    

After church we got to go to the Bakery. We ran into lots of friends there too! We even saw my buddy Ollie and his Dad and little brother!

                                   

Later we had plans to head to the pool. Our cousins Griggs and Bray were going to come with us. Then, those sunny skies that we had this morning turned into clouds and lots of heavy rain!!! Not again! So instead our cousins came over to play with us. Then Mama made us our special crab cake dinner. Can you believe how many crab cakes we got out of all that meat! It was a labor but in the end Mama said it was worth it. The crab cakes were delicious!!

                                  

                                  





After dinner we showered and then we watched some America's Funniest Home Videos! It was fun. Then Kai read us some books before we all got snuggled up in bed. He sure is a good big brother! We're all keeping our fingers crossed for some sunshine and warm weather tomorrow so we can finally go to the pool!
