Tonight was a super special evening because although we couldn't have our "official" Mother-Son dance at our school, we decided we'd have our own dance party at home! And it was even more special because Daddy got to join in the fun! We hung up our beautiful home made sign...



Then Daddy and Mama got all of the theme items ready, including their New Orleans style cocktails!

Even our neighbor Miss Emily took our picture and sent it to Daddy and Mama. That was really nice of her! We all got into our Mardi Gras/Party attire and we were ready to roll!

                                             



We had our light up hats and beads and necklaces...

                                             

Daddy and Mama made special drinks for them and for us! We even had orange slices and marachino cherries!

                                             

                                             

                                              

We requested Domino's Pizza and cheezie bread and lots of snacks and Daddy and Mama hooked us up! It was a great spread!



Then it was time to get down to dancing and rocking out!

                                             

                                              



                                             

I have some serious moves! Daddy and Mama were very impressed with my break dancing skills!

                                             







                                            

We had so much fun dancing and partying and we truly just had so much fun!

It was kind of sad not being with all of our friends but man, a dance party with all the fixins in our house was not a shabby way to spend a Saturday night!!

                                             

                                             

We've also convinced Daddy and Mama to have a dance party every Friday night going forward so that is currently the plan!!

Daddy even made us real icy's! They were SO GOOD!

...Before I decided on a nice bubble bath to end the evening!! That was great!

                                             

                                             

                                              

We had such a fun "Family Fun Night" and we can't wait to do it again!

                                             

                                             

                                             

This morning I started my day with a morning meeting with Mrs. Goudreau, Alex and Hermela so we could go over our topics for our persuasive writing project.



I got to make a directed drawing of a monster and we all loved him so much that Mama hung him up on the window!

                                             

Later for our homework "bribery snack" Mama made us all milk shakes. Jax has cookies and cream and Finn and I had banana chocolate. They were SO GOOD!

                                             



And Daddy and Mama were good and had a Chopt Mexican Caesar salad! YUM!

                                             

Then we all worked on our sign for our Mother-Son Dance but really Family dance that we're having tomorrow night since we can't go to the real one that was scheduled to happen at our school tomorrow!



We chose a Mardi Gras theme, which seems perfect for us since we have lots of stuff for that theme. Mama said it turned out great and she loved all of our art work!

For breakfast Mama cut up one of the heirloom tomatoes from Founding Farmers and boy did it look great!



                                              

Then it was time for my class check in. Everyone loved seeing my crazy haircut and hair color! I was just happy to see all my friends and teachers!



For our school work snack Daddy hooked us up with a charcuterie platter that we could snack on throughout the day as we got hungry. It's a great incentive to get to work and a great place to grab a bite here and there while you're working. It keeps the energy up and boy is it all tasty!





I also got to have a lunch bunch with Mrs. Miller and some of my friends from school today. It was a lot of fun to have lunch, virtually, with my buddies!



Later I got to help mama with our latest baking with yeast experiment! Time for some home made pizza dough and cheese bread! I got started on the pizza dough in the mixer!

It was messy and didn't seem like it would work at all!
                                            
                                               

While we waited for all of our dough to rise we went out for a nice brisk walk out in the sunshine. It did us some good. We needed some fresh air!

                                              

When we came back our pizza dough was threatening to jump out of the huge bowl we put it in!

                                             

Then Mama split it up and got it ready for making real pizza's!

                                              

We froze 2 and decided we'd make 2 for dinner!
          
                                             

Then the cheese bread came out of the oven!!! WOW is all we can say. It was DELICIOUS! And we were so happy to get to taste test it warm out of the oven. So cheesy and gooey and yummy!

                                              





It tasted amazing!

                                              

                                              

We did some playing outside with our new yard dice game until it was time to come in and make our pizzas!



And I think it's safe to say that we were successful!!! Look at those beautiful pizzas! We are getting pretty good at this baking with yeast thing. And making pizzas!
