This morning I was invited to my friend Harper's 7th birthday party up at the field. And at 9:30am it was already a scorcher!

It was nice to see some of my classmates and buddies!

We rode bikes and scooters and ran around in the heat. It was lots of fun!

And we had lots of water to drink and pour over our heads to keep cool!

Then Harper opened her presents and then we ran around the field with her and her sisters throwing water at each other. It was a lot of fun!

Later we went on a car wash adventure! We love piling in the car and getting a car wash!

And when we got home we all hopped in the pool because there was just an unrelenting heat outside. No room to breath. It felt like god turned the oven on outside. But it sure felt good splashing around in our little pool!

Even Mama joined us!

This morning Mama made us eggs from the Filburn's chickens. Their shells are so pretty! This one looked like it had freckles!

Later we took a ride out to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to pick up some oysters from a pop up sale that Harris Creek Oyster Company was having. We have to support our local watermen and the repopulation of our bay!

And we got to get out and explore a little bit before we had to hit the road!

Then we got to take a little ride around the Bay Ridge neighborhood. It's so nice there. We haven't been here since I was little and Finn was a baby when we came with Grandma and Mama's Aunts and cousins for a day of fun. We need to make friends with someone new who lives in Bay Ridge so we can come back again soon!

We tried escargot, and they were delicious! We had oysters Rockefeller. We had clams casino and steamed clams. Jax also had fried chicken and garlic bread. Everything was so tasty and we had a great summer feast!

The carnage...Daddy and Mama were right, they knew we'd like escargot! What's not to like about heaps of butter and garlic?

It was a gorgeous day. Not too hot, so we got our new Maryland masks and explored the gardens!

There were so many gorgeous flowers. They were HUGE! We didn't know they could grow so large. They were bigger than our heads and it was so cool to be able to see them up close. Nature sure is beautiful!

When we got back to our neighborhood it was like the wildlife followed us! We saw these guys just munching away on our street!

I got a giant lime icey! It was as tall as I was!

                                 Untitled

Then, it was so hot we took a dip in the pool! That helped cool us off!
