This morning Mama made us egg salad and she used the Filburn eggs. Even this little tiny egg. Turns out it didn't have a yolk, just a white! 

                                 

Then Mama admired the pretty flowers she got the other day for MeMa's birthday celebration. They sure do look pretty!

    

                                  

And later Mama set up the lights she ordered for my new bed! I was having trouble transitioning into sleeping in Kai's bed so that he could have my big bed. So Mama came up with the idea to make it a special place! I got to put up a sheet curtain and I got to get color changing lights for under the bed. It's like a party bed now. I LOVE it!

 This morning I had my first orientation with Mrs. Birk, the K-2 Distance Learning teacher for the year. We love Mrs. Birk and it was fun to see some of my old friends on the zoom and to meet some new ones!

                                  

Later Mama and Daddy made a beautiful sandwich with the tomatoes that Mama got from Spiknall's farm. They added queso blanco, basil and mayo and they had a perfect summer meal!

                                  

Later we hit the pool. It was a perfect day and the water was great!

                                

                                 

We have to get in every last bit of pool time before the summer and the pool season are over!

                              

                                

                                

This morning Mama caught some of our humming bird friends from a better angle where you could actually see them! They LOVE our feeder and Mama's sugar water. It's so fun to watch them visit and drink the nectar! 

                                

                                  

Today was also Aunt Rita's Birthday and MeMa's Birthday and we got to have MeMa and PopPop and Aunt Carol and Uncle Jay over for dinner to celebrate our MeMa!!

                                 

We had steak and shrimp and crab dip and corn and salad and potatoes. It was a yummy, fun dinner!

                                  

I even got to read my Pigeon Has To Go To School book to everyone!

It was so fun hanging out with everyone. It's been such a long time since we've had anyone to our house for dinner and this was the perfect occasion!

It was a great night and we all had such a nice visit!

                                  

Today was a beautiful, steamy day and we headed to Mears' Marina with the Filburn's!

                                 

                                   

 The water was perfect and there was hardly anyone there. Exactly how we like it!

Then the sky turned dark and we heard the rumbles of thunder so we headed to the boat to play!

And then we did some crabbing! Mr. Filburn dropped some chicken pieces in the water on string and we reaped the benefits of snatching them up in the net!

                                

                                

                                

                                 

                                  

We had so much fun and we couldn't believe how quickly we were catching these huge crabs!

                                 

                                  

It was all pretty perfect until I fell in to the bay trying to catch a crab! It was pretty scary! thankfully the water was deep and I was able to swim right up to the steps where Daddy and Mr. Filburn pulled me up. That was a scary moment for all of us!

                                

Jake and I made a great crab catching team! Jake pulled them up and I snagged them with the net!

                                 

                                

                                 

                                

We played the floor is lava in the boat and then we headed back to the pool for some more swimming time!

Then we released all the crabs we caught. We decided if we weren't going to cook them we better let them go and get bigger so one day we can hopefully eat them!!

                                  

It was a great day on the bay and in the pool!
