This morning we woke up at 4:30am to go check out the "Parade of Planets"! And we were not disappointed!

 

   

We could clearly see Venus, The moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn (Mama just couldn't get a wide enough photo to show Saturn all the way over to the right). We were unable to see Mercury. We're not sure if it's because the horizon was too bright or if it was just below the horizon for us. Either way it was pretty cool and a memory we'll have forever!

   

   

   

It was really pretty...and then we went home and went right back to sleep!

                              

                            

When I finally woke up, Mama and I went on a little adventure to Quickie's Mini Donuts to get breakfast! They were fresh and hot and delicious!

 

                               

Then it was off to the beach. What a gorgeous, perfect, sunny, summer beach day!

                               

                               

                               

Even lunch was perfect!!

                               

                              

I spent a good, long time in the water. It was great!

                               

                              

                               

Later we headed to the Crab Cake Factory Bayside to watch a beautiful bay sunset with some appetizers and Grapefruit Crushes. Well, for Daddy and Mama. We got Shirley Temples and appetizers. Still a great way to spend the night!

                              

   

                              

This morning was beautiful and it looked like it was going to be a perfect beach day but first Mama made us all do a little of our summer work books for school... 

 

...it wasn't so bad. Especially working on the front porch on a beautiful beach morning!

                              

                               

Then we were off to the beach! It was gorgeous out and after warming up by playing some baseball with our friends we headed straight for the water and it was amazing!

                                

                                

                               

                               

                               

                               

                              

                             

It was a great day. Warm and sunny and perfect for being on the beach. We had another great beach day!

                             

                            

                             

We even did a little resting in the sun. It felt great!

                              

And then, dinner on the porch! Octo hot dogs for the win! YUM YUM!

                            

 This morning was a bit chilly and breezy and overcast so we decided to hit the library. We haven't been here in a while and this visit did not disappoint!

                              

They've made some improvements and gotten more inventory and the people that work here are just as nice and friendly and helpful as they were the last time we were here!

                              

We all found some summer reading books and the ones they didn't have they ordered for us and they'll be in on Monday! They're great!

                             

                              

When we got done at the library it was a little bit warmer but there was still a threat of rain and it was breezy so we decided to head to Higgins and have some crabs!! 

                              

   

Man were they meaty and delicious!

                              

   

And by the time we were done the sky had cleared, the temperature had risen and we decided to hit the beach for a late afternoon hang out. It was perfect!

                              

   

                             

We read books, we played games, and we stayed until we felt like heading home!

                              

                               

                              

                              

   

   

   

Later we decided to go on another dessert adventure! This time we hit Crepe Daddy on 11th street on the boardwalk! 

                               

                                

                               

We got the classic nutella, banana and strawberry crepe to share. And we got a cookies and cream and peanut butter banana milkshake! WOW!

                               

Deeeelicious! Will come back again!

                              

Then we went to look at the mini donut shop. It was closed but they had some fun things to play with including a slide and a mini pacman machine. And mama and I made a plan to come back to get mini donuts one day soon!

                              

                               

Then we stopped at the grocery store on the way home on our hunt for Ring O Noodle. And these cakes looked AMAZING! But mama said NO WAY! oh well, it was worth a try!
