This morning was a cloudy one and we decided that we'd head home and spend the 4th of July at home. Daddy also decided that we would take our time and make the ride home a leisurely one! Our first stop was the Exxon on 142nd street. We've heard for years that they have the best donuts in town so we decided to try them out...

They were served hot and fresh and made to order and MAN were they tasty and delicious! We loved them and we'll be back for sure!

Then it was on the road again! Daddy and Mama said that we're good road dogs!

Our next stop...Fisherman's Crab Deck on Kent Island!! We had some tasty drinks, clams, corn on the cob, french fries and of course some meaty and delicious CRABS!!! Kai was picking them like a champ. Jax and I were the lucky beneficiaries of crab meat picked by Mama and Daddy! It was so much fun and so yummy!

Then we did our customary throwing of the clam shells. Finn nailed a duck right in the head...Mama was not happy about that but it sure was funny. Once we got all the shells thrown into the water it was time to get back on the road!

We got home, unloaded our bags and then Mama took us to Nana and Papi's house to surprise everyone! They were all so happy to see us. We had fun hanging out with everyone and beating on Kevin. Then it started pouring down rain so we thought the fireworks would be cancelled for sure. But then it stopped raining and there were fireworks! Mama hurried up and put us in the car so we could see the end of the fireworks show and phew! We just made it to see some of the Takoma Park show. Poor Lucy was not a fan. She was scared and we had to get her out of Nana and Papi's bathtub in order to head home! It was a fun, wet, muggy, weird 4th of July but we made it fun!!

This morning was a rainy one so we all loaded up and headed to Dumser's for breakfast! We got there just in the nick of time because we got a big table quickly. We all shared a chocolate banana milkshake then Kai ordered steak and eggs and I had french toast and Jax had pancakes and  you know what? We all must have been pretty hungry because we ate it all up!

Then we decided to head down to the boardwalk along with everyone else in Ocean City!! We played games and ran around. We had cotton candy and Thrashers french fries! We rode on rides and had a blast!! I loved the little roller coaster. I even went on it twice!! We had so much fun and we each even won a toy while we played the carnival games! It was a blast!
