Today is my BIRTHDAY! And now I'm 9, even though Mama says I'm not allowed to keep growing! Mama is so silly sometimes!

Mama and I hit the road early to get my birthday Krispy Kreme donuts! We got there when they were hot. Mmmm nothing like a hot Krispy Kreme glazed donut!

                                   

We also picked up my super cool balloon garland! It looked great and I loved the rainbow colors and the cool rainbow balloon on top!

                               

                                

Then it was time to open presents. Hooray!

                                 

                                

We ALL love present time! Presents for Finn means presents for US!!

                                

                                 

                                 

Then it was time for us to decorate Finn's cake! Mama let me place all the candy once she got the nutella buttercream icing on the cake!

                                 

First I placed the Kit Kats!

                                

Then I placed the Ferrerro Rochers. It was really coming together!

                                

I think the bow really sealed the deal. It looked beautiful and Finn was so surprised. We all couldn't wait to dig in later!

                               

Later it was time for my special birthday dinner! I chose Brisket and lima beans and roasted potatoes and salad. Boy did it turn out great!

And the whole house smelled delicious!

Then it was time to sing "Happy Birthday" to Finn. He blew out his candles and then my dream came true, it was time to dig in to that delicious looking cake!

I had a wonderful Birthday! It was a pandemic Birthday but a great day none the less. I got to see all my Grandparents and had lots of calls and I was really lucky so be able to spend a great day with great food and dessert with my family!

                                

Today we went to Cove Point with all of our Aunties and Uncles and cousins and even Nana and Papi joined us this time! It was a beautiful day and a perfect day to spend by the sea with our family!

 

                                  

We played with water guns and floats. Mama brought the dry bag so we could have an anchor and not float away while enjoying our floats! And I tried to teach Chance how to skip rocks!

                                 

Even our cousin Lottie joined us!

                                 

                                 

                                 

We dug holes and made sand castles and looked for shells and sharks teeth!

                                  

And after I got a bad jelly fish sting I decided that getting buried in the sand made it feel a lot better. So that's what I did!

                                 

                                 

                                 

Baby Caleb was having a great time hanging out with all the big boys and all of his family!

                                

                                 

                               

Mama said that Jax looked like Alfalfa! She had to look him up and show us a picture of what he looks like. We all agreed!

                                

We went on walks along the point and found some cool rocks, sea glass and shells. It was fun cousin time!

                                

                                 

                                 

It sure was a fun day of hanging out and having fun in the sun!

                                 

We even met some very friendly dragonflies! Finn made a special new friend who hung out with him almost all day. Letting him pet him and landing on Finn. We wish we could have brought him home but he lives at the beach so we didn't want to make his family sad and miss him.

                               

                                 

                                  

                                 

                                

                                 

We had a super fun day! We can't wait to go back to Cove Point for more fun!

                                

This morning I helped Mama make a new recipe for home made bagels!! No boiling, only 3 ingredients! Flour, fat free greek yogurt and baking powder!!! We were skeptical! 

                                 

We made some plain and some with Everything Bagel spice...

                                 

When they came out they actually looked great. We probably could have made more smaller ones because they did grow a bit!

We were very excited to try them! They smelled great!

                                  

They had the right texture and tasted great! Mama said they needed a little more salt but they were perfect and SO easy!!

                                 

Jax took his first nap that he's probably taken in 3 years! He must have been a sleepy little monkey!

                                  

And later there was a storm on the way but it sure made the sky look cool!

                                   

Today the ice cream man came. After us waiting for him all day yesterday...Our neighbor little Rhoads got to get ice cream with his grandma! He just had a brand new baby brother arrive at his house!  

                                   

Then we met our friend the Coll's at the pool to enjoy some relief from the heat! It was a great pool day!

                                  

It wasn't too crowded and we got to stay until the pool closed at 7!

                                  

This week Daddy and Mama ordered Tacos from Tacos Don Perez. You order on Wednesday for a Saturday pick-up. So Mama headed to get our yummy food... 

Everyone was socially distanced and waiting for their orders.

                                

                                 

When Mama got home we were so excited. They weren't the normal tacos that we're used to but Daddy and Mama said they are very authentic. Daddy and Mama LOVED them. We just liked them. I guess we're used to "American" Mexican food...

Daddy also ordered us this pineapple filled with watermlon spears, pineapple and mango and gummies! It was okay, They put a weird sauce on it and we weren't too keen on that but that's okay. Daddy and Mama finished it for us!
