Last night we got to have a sleep over in Daddy and Mama's room and we were all snuggled up on their floor this morning!

Then we called Nana to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY because today is her actual birthday!
And then....the tree cutters arrived!! We're finally getting the big, giant dead tree and the other trees from our back yard cut and we're so excited!
That sure is one tall tree!
It was really interesting watching the guys prepare for the cutting by getting the tree tied up and climber tied up and all kind of other preparations that we don't know anything about...
Then that really brave guy started climbing...and mama watched as long as she could, then she had to stop watching!
I was lucky because I got to have a lunch bunch today with all of my 2nd grade friends. The kids in school and the distance learners. And it was super fun. I sure do miss my friends and going to school!
And just like that, the giant tree was gone! And all of the little oak trees that will one day be giant oak trees too!
And to honor our fallen trees in our yard we decided to pay our respects at one of the most beautiful local places, Brookside Gardens!
The Elephant ears were huge and all of the colors were magnificent!
We got to run in the fields and play with so much open space. It was GLORIOUS!
We saw the turtles sunning themselves on the rocks...
some fish and little tad poles in the water...
And a HUGE group of turtles enjoying the rays of the sun!
Then we went to the pagoda and saw lots of turtles swimming including this HUGE snapping turtle!
The trees looked beautiful and we enjoyed exploring them!
And rolling down the hills! It was such a great day!
Not a cloud in sight!
And so many pretty things still in bloom!
The rose garden had so many varieties still in bloom and boy did they smell amazing!
Later we got to go to MeMa and PopPop's house for dinner! We haven't had dinner at their house in probably 6 months. It was so nice to spend some time there. We missed hanging out at their house. And MeMa made one of Daddy's old favorites and it was delicious!
