Last night was so windy and rainy and gross and this morning we woke up to blowing snow...nothing sticking but it still looked nice!

Then we noticed that all of rain and then crazy winds helped the dead tree beyond our back yard finally fell over! It was stopped from falling by another tree but thankfully it didn't fall in our direction!
It was another day for hunkering down. The temperature outside was dropping rapidly and the wind was helping. It went from 40 degrees to about 12 degrees in a few hours! so we watched a few more episodes of Wednesday while we snacked and got comfy!
Then, because we're gluttons for punishment and slaves to our traditions we piled on the warm clothes and headed to Hamden for our annual trip to The Miracle on 34th Street!
We love looking at all the lights and houses. It's so fun and one of our favorite traditions but BOY was it cold!
As Finn so cleverly said, "So this is what hypothermia feels like" - It was so unbearably cold and windy. We did our walk a little faster this year...
We looked at all of our favorite lights and houses then hightailed it back to the car to warm back up and head to our next, warmer stop!
And the Ellicott City Diner did not disappoint! It was warm and toasty inside!
We checked out the dessert counter. Man, everything looked amazing!
We settled on some fries and a ferrer roche bomb to share...SO GOOD!
Then it was milkshake time! We decided against the crazy milkshakes this time. We each got a smaller one and that was just right!
It was such a fun, cold, family night!
