Last night we had a sleep over with our buddy Liam. And this morning Daddy and Mama took us downtown to the National Book Fair at the Convention Center! Man, that's a lot of people and a lot of books!

We had a little bit of fun but then we realized that it was way too crowded and we couldn't even get to the books we wanted to look at. We might be skipping this event in the future! Afterward we made a big mistake and went to a place called Leon for lunch...they had vegan burgers!

But after that Daddy and Mama made it all better by taking us to Politics and Prose and letting us really dig in to some books!

We couldn't get enough and we loved how the children's section is the whole bottom floor!

They even had a secret little tunnel!

We all found lots of books we wanted to buy. Mama made us buy 2 with our own money and she bought us each 2. It's so hard to decide! So many books, so little time!

Later Mama saw all these crazy birds hanging out and flying around the power lines! It was a neat sight for sure!

This morning we had to go with Daddy and Mama to the finger printing place. Now they have to get finger prints done in order to volunteer at our school. Thankfully it was quick and easy because that place was boring!

Then, because it was such a beautiful day, we headed down to Nick's Fish House in Baltimore. Boy was it pretty out!

And we got to have some delicious oysters! I think Finn and I ate the majority of them!

Then we got some other dishes...and of course some crabs!

Out of everything ordered, the crabs and oysters were the best. The other food was just meh.

After we ate we all got to throw shells and stuff in the water. The ducks thought we were throwing stuff to them but we weren't. It was lots of fun!

We had a super fun time at Nick's. I even got to scoot around the place on my scooter!

Then we headed up to the pool for the weekend of our last hoorah's! Labor Day weekend is bitter sweet that way!

We played and swam and scooted with our friends. It was a good end of summer evening!

And so it begins...the first day of 5th, 3rd and 1st grades at St. Bernadette School! We're excited and nervous and happy and we're looking forward to a great year!

When we got to the blacktop I went to say hi to Mrs. Zagone and give her a big hug. We wished each other a good school year.

Then it was time to get with our classes and see all our new and old friends!

3rd grade is going to be a good one. I got to meet my teacher, Mrs. Goudreau. She seems like she's going to be nice!

And I sure was happy to see all of my best buds are in my class this year! 5th grade is gonna be great! Even if it is school...

Then Mama went home to get some work done. These crazy, loud jets flew over head. Then, before we knew it, the half day was over and Mama was there to pick us up!

                                     Untitled

We were really happy to see her. And we all had a great first day.

We were happy to see each other too!

                                     Untitled

And then we continued our half day tradition of heading to Mod Pizza for lunch. Our friends Michael J, Liam and Emmett and their neighbors Reagan and Campbell joined us! It was a big crew and it was so much fun!

Later Liam came over and we all had some down time. Mama says this is the calm before the storm. Before the dreaded homework starts!

                                     Untitled

Then we headed on to the front porch where Mama and Daddy installed some curtain lights. They looked awesome and even better as it got darker. They are so pretty and we loved hanging on the front porch with the new lights!
