Today Mama subbed for Miss Bulley's Kindergarten class so I got to see her a lot today! And we're all excited b/c Miss Bulley is getting married! Mama helped us take a class picture with both Kindergarten classes.

It was a beautiful day and we got to stay outside extra long to have some fun!
      
                                    

                                    

                                   

                                    

Then it was time for Friday night on the field! Jax had his T Ball game and then I had my game. It was a really nice night out. And the best part was that it was also movie night on the field!
  
                                   

                                    

                                    

                                     

It was a perfect night to run around with our friends and then settle down with some popcorn and some friends and watch The Incredibles 2! We even got to see a pretty spectacular sun set! What a great Friday night.



       
          
                                    

                                   

Well today was my hooky day!! And although Daddy and Mama had other plans for me I heard about how much fun my brother had at the zoo and I decided that I wanted to go there too! So to the National Zoo we went...

                                    



                                    

We saw all kinds of fun animals and according to Daddy and Mama lots of things that my brother didn't see so that made it a little bit more interesting to them at least...I got to see these otters that were different than the ones Finn saw yesterday.

                                    

Then I got to see the big elephants out in the yard. This big guy named Spike was taking water from the pond and spraying himself. It sure was a scorcher out there and it looks like he knows how to cool down!

                                    

                                    

                                    

Then it was off to the Panda house and we actually got to see one of them outside playing and eating bamboo and then the other one inside. They are so pretty and fluffy!

                                    

                                    

                                    

                                   

                                     

                                   
We did get to see the sea lions like Finn did. And boy are they cute and super fast swimmers!

                                    

                                    

That bear was looking at me like I was a snack. I was surprised to see him out and about because it sure was hot and that fur coat he's got on did not look comfy in this weather!

And then we came across some Dip n Dots. I got cookies and cream and they were tasty. Then we saw a dumpling food truck and dumplings are my favorite! I tore them up and they were delicious!!

                                    

Then we saw the tiger and the lion. They were HUGE! And the tiger was so hot he took a dip into the water. It was fun to see him swimming. The lion just walked around being big and scary looking!

                                   

                                    

                                    

                                    

                                    

                                    

We checked out the monkeys - boy does their house smell bad! This Mama looked like she was reading a story to her baby!

                                    

We even saw a dinosaur or two!! And then I cooled off in the mister. Wooo what felt good!

                                    

                                    

I even got to go with Daddy and Mama to get a car wash! It was the greatest hooky day ever!

                                    

Today everyone had to go back to school. But not me! I got to sleep in because it's my HOOKY DAY!

                                    

After breakfast we were off to the National Zoo! I turned into a meerkat as soon as we got there. Mama said I was so cute!

                                    

And the first animals I saw were the sea otters. They were SO CUTE! It was a mama and 3 babies and they frolicked and played in the water. They are now my very favorite animal! I could have watched them all day!

                                   

                                    

Then we saw the regal wolf!

                                    



And two beautiful and huge bald eagles!

                                    

Then the sea lions!!! Now THEY might be my very favorite animal. I can't decide but I loved them. We got to watch them swim under water and then we got to hear the trainer tell us a little about them and show us some of their tricks! That sea lion ate a whole bucket of fish and squid while we were there!











                                    

                                     

                                    

We learned that this sea lion is going to have a pup soon!

                                    

Then we headed down to check out the gigantic fish, sting ray, turtles and other Amazonian wild life. It was pretty neat. And Daddy and Mama didn't even know this part of the zoo existed so it was an adventure for all of us!

                                    

                                    

These cute monkeys and some pretty amazing birds were in the rain forest!

                                    

                                    



And this guy looked fake but he definitely wasn't!!

                                    

Then we saw the orangutan climbing from his home to another building. They have a rope system where he can climb above the zoo and go all over the place. It was amazing to see him up there just on his own!

                                    

                                    

And this guy was just chillin and taking a nap with his feet up...kind of like Daddy!

                                    

                                    

And then we got to visit with the amazing elephants! This is Spike. He has huge tusks. And he weighs over 13,000 pounds!!! And he was beautiful!

                                    

                                    

And these guys decided to stay cool in the building. They were younger elephants but they were still beautiful!

                                    

And then it was time to head to lunch! It was a scorcher out by the time we finished at the zoo. And it was truly the best day ever! I got Daddy and Mama all to myself and I also had a BLAST! I loved looking at all the animals and had a great day. We went to Fat Pete's BBQ in Cleveland Park and boy was it good! I had the burnt ends grilled cheese and I want to have that every day it was so delicious.

                                    

                                    

Later, it was so hot out that Daddy and Mama decided that we should hit the pool! Kai's baseball game was cancelled. So we got our gear on and headed over. I started with some basketball and I even made a shot over my head backwards!!!


                                    

                                     



 Then we splashed around and had some fun. Even my friend Liam came with us!

                                    

                                    



Daddy even got us pizza for dinner. We sure are lucky boys! It was a perfect evening at the pool. The air was hot and the water was just right.



                                    

                                    

We swam and played basketball in the pool until it was closing time! Looking forward to many summer nights at Calverton Pool!
