Today MeMa and PopPop came by to see us and they got to see all of our loot from New Orleans! They also brought us some yummy chicken noodle soup to make us feel better. It sure was delicious! But we made them leave so we didn't get them sick too! Just in case a little bug was still lingering...

                                       






We sure did get a lot of good stuff off those floats in New Orleans! Mama and Daddy don't need to buy us any more toys ever again!!!

                                       

                                        

                                       

                                       

                                        

                                       

After a long ride to Chattanooga we spent the night in the hotel and hoping we're all on the mend today. Mama took us to the aquarium while Daddy got the car packed up and comfy for the longer ride home today.

                                       

                                       

It was so fun going to the aquarium even though we had to scoot through pretty quickly. Kai and Finn were still not feeling 100% but I was sure loving all of the fish and turtles and snakes and otters...

                                       



And we were all LOVING the blue crawfish!

                                       

Jax and I climbed inside the tube that made us look like we were in the tank!

                                        

                                        

I had a stare down with this guy and he actually JUMPED at the glass at me!! It was crazy! I love this crazy little guy!

                                       

                                       

These giant alligators were huge and super still. I sure am glad that glass is there!!

                                       

                                        

                                       

There were tons of turtles here and we loved it! So many sizes and shapes and colors. It was great!



Jax even pretended he was one in a shell hatching!

                                        



And of course we loved the gift shop...

                                        

                                       

                                       

Then it was time to hit the road! And off we went. Next stop...HOME!

                                       

The weather on the drive was crazy. One minute it was sunny and the next it was freezing rain and foggy...

                                       

Then sleeting and snowing...

                                       

Then foggy and sleeting and snowing and raining...

                                       

Then Sunny. Then snowing again...



Then white out conditions and snowing! It was a wild ride. It's a good thing Daddy is such a good driver!

                                        

And then we got over the mountains and it was clear skies ahead!!

Daddy decided that he'd had enough of our quarantine so we packed up to hit the road today. Time to just get home! So, we took a ride through the French Quarter to look around since Finn and really the rest of us never got to do our walk around and crawfish feast down there. It was a beautiful day and Mama was sad that we couldn't spend the day outside there...until next time New Orleans!

                                        

                                       

                                       

                                        

Daddy set us all up in the back of the car with pillows and blankets and made us nice and comfy so that we could sleep and get better on the long ride home. We're feeling like this will help! Tennessee here we come!

Today Mama and I hit Breaux Mart and Walgreens to get supplies for all the sick people in the house! It looks like we've got 3 cases of flu A and 2 stomach bugs...Glad Mama and I are healthy! But we have to make our own adventures!

                                       

Later Daddy, Mama, Tom and I walked down Magazine Street to have dinner while everyone else slept and got better.

Hooray It's FAT TUESDAY! We got our costumes all on and the weather is mild and we're ready to head down to the quarter for the festivities but we're a little sad because we're missing a few of our Waldo's! Poor little Finn is still down for the count and Daddy will be staying home with him today. We'll try to have the most fun we can for both of them...

                                       

It was super crowded downtown but all of the costumes were really great!
  
                                        

The Trouve's dressed as Severis Snape, Belatrix Lastrange and Hermione Granger from Harry Potter and Charlie was a Saints Football Player. They all looked great!

                                        

Everyone really loved our costumes. Lots of random people took our picture and lots of people thought they were clever when they yelled out "we found you!"

We took a little pit stop at our favorite French Quarter playground to recharge our batteries and have some snacks and it really helped. We had a great time. And a parade broke out! Only in New Orleans!

                                       

                                        

                                       



We even saw a crawfish boil going on right on the street as we walked along. We wish we could have stopped for a few...but we couldn't do it without our Finn and Daddy there to join us!

                                       

                                       

It was a great day running around the French Quarter!

                                       

                                       

                                       

                                        

Then we went to hang out at a friends house right up on top of Royal Street where all the action is! It was a great house and a great location and we got to throw beads and see parades of people go by. It was an amazing Mardi Gras experience. It was another great Mardi Gras! We were sad to be down a Finn and Daddy but it was lots of fun. We hope to have a do-over in New Orleans once Finn is feeling better!
