This morning Finn woke up with a fever and a really bad croop cough and I woke up with a deep cough too so Mama and Daddy said we weren't leaving the house at all today! Even Mama's throat hurts. So Mama let me open my Paw Patrol play doh set!! Woo hoo!

Finn and I did a little iPad after breakfast...

Then I got to build my car that Nana and Papi got me for Christmas. It was so fun to use my very own drill to put the pieces on. It was so cool!!

Then I just went and layed down with Mama. I just wasn't feeling good and even playing on the iPad wasn't making me feel better. I just needed some snuggling with Mama.

Later it was time for Mama to prep for our very special New Year's Eve traditional dinner...prime rib! She made the horseradish sauce and the rub for the roast!

Then it was time to prep the roast!

I had to come take a peek and see what all of this good stuff going on in the kitchen was!

                                   Untitled

Even our friend Joseph thought it looked pretty delicious!

I decided to make some towers while Mama and Daddy got everything ready for our dinner tonight. I'm a really good tower builder!

Mama and Daddy decided to make some drinks while they worked. They sure looked good...

The smells from the oven were so good!! I had to take a peak and see how things were cooking. Is it ready yet?

And when it was finally ready Daddy took more pictures of that meat than he's taken of us all year long! Okay, not that many but he did take a lot. But we'll admit, that prime rib sure looked amazing!

Dinner was so, so good! I loved the steak and Kai ate it up. He even cleaned the bone off for Lucy. Hope she didn't want any of that meat...Even the veggies were so delicious. Mama knocked it out of the park.

Poor Finn. He just couldn't hang. I think his cold just finally got him and he was out before dinner was even ready! He slept though our special dinner but we made sure to save lots for him so that tomorrow he can have a plate of food. My poor little brother needed to sleep it off. I hope he feels better tomorrow!

I told Mama and Daddy that I wanted to stay up until midnight. I almost made it. At about 10:40 or so I went to my room to read until 12 but I just couldn't keep my eyes open. Oh well, maybe next New Year's Eve I'll stay up to see the ball drop! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016!

Today we all got to sleep in a little bit. Then we had some of our delicious leftover pancakes from Sarge's deli for breakfast. And then we headed to Annapolis Mall to meet Grandma to see the movie Sing! It was packed but we got really great seats thanks to Grandma! We ate popcorn and M&M's and we shared Mama's Coke. We all really enjoyed the movie. It was so, so good!

Granddaddy sent home the spiral cut ham bone for us to give to Lucy. Boy was she happy when we got home and gave it to her. She sat out on the front porch tearing it up until Daddy took it away. She can have more tomorrow!

Then Mama promised we could make some cotton candy with the new cotton candy maker that MeMa and PopPop got me for Christmas. So we got out the machine, Mama read the directions and set it up and off we went. We were SO excited to make real cotton candy. It sure was tasty and fun!

Later, after dinner, Mama let us eat some of the dessert we brought home from Sarge's Deli. We had some chocolate cake and carrot cake. And boy were they delicious!! We couldn't even eat it all if you can believe that!!

Then Mama gave us each a hair cut. We took a shower and snuggled up in Mama and Daddy's bed to watch a show before heading to bed. It was a good day!

This morning we woke up to the same great view, just a little cloudy. And then the rain came.

Good thing we brought our umbrellas! It wasn't as cold as it was yesterday so we threw on our sweat shirts, grabbed our umbrellas and walked a block and a half to Sarge's Delicatessen for breakfast! It was perfect! We had pancakes and sausage and bacon and smoked salmon and eggs and hash browns. It was all delicious. And then Mama let us take a piece of carrot cake and a piece of chocolate cake home with us! We can't wait to eat it at home!

Then, sadly, it was time to check out of our hotel, get our car and head to our next destination...The Intrepid Sea and Air museum! It is a World War II Air Craft Carrier that has been made into a museum. They had jets and fighter jets and helicopters and our favorite, the Space Shuttle!! We were able to go to the flight deck and the control deck and flight tower. We got to see where big decisions were made and where the Captain and Co-Captain slept. It was really amazing and so cool! Even in the rain!

This is the lego set that I wanted to take home. Mama said no, but she did let us each bring a mini space shuttle toy home with us. I was SO happy!!!

This is a replica of the Intrepid with lots of fighter jets on it's deck. The WHOLE thing is made out of Legos!! Amazing!

Then it was time to get in the car and head home. Mama and Daddy started the ride with a nice cup of coffee for Daddy and a latte for Mama. Then we were off! Bye, Bye New York City!

                                     Untitled

We stopped at a rest stop on the way home and were surprised to see this super cute life sized gingerbread house!! We wanted to eat it. It looked delicious!

When we got home Mama's flowers had taken off and were fully bloomed. It was a nice surprise and a great welcome home! It was a long ride but we made it home safe and sound. We took showers, got snuggled up, Mama went to pick up Lucy from Nana and Papi's house and then were thankful to sleep in our own cozy beds tonight. It sure was an amazing trip but we're also glad to be back in our awesome home!
