Today was a pretty normal day. Kai took his trumpet to school with him for practice to see if Mr. Varrone would be able to help him play his instrument because he hasn't been able to play since breaking his wrist.

                                     

Low and behold, Mr. Varrone worked miracles and got Kai playing his trumpet and so last minute we were off to Kai's first ever band concert. Finn and I were lucky because we got to see a preview performance at school earlier in the day!

                                     

I had some butterflies but really I was just excited to play my trumpet in my very first band concert!

                                     



The beginning band played a few very short Christmas songs. We did really well and Daddy and Mama were so proud of me! When we were done our small part it was time for the advanced band to put on a longer concert for the families. Everyone sounded very good and Mama and Daddy couldn't believe that Mr. Varrone had us all sounding like a real band in such a short time. We can't wait for the spring concert when we can invite all our family and friends to see my progress!



                                     



                                     



After the concert we drove my our neighborhood christmas tree and then did a little drive around the neighborhood to check out the decorations. There are a lot of houses that aren't decorated yet but we saw a few of our favorites and they looked great!
