Today for lunch Mama took us to McDonald's. We got to eat in the restaurant so we got to have a relaxing, leisurely lunch.



Then we headed to Target to get a few things and look for some school supplies. Mama tricked us by letting us look at the toys while she did the school shopping. It was so boring and reminds us that we have to go back to school soon which only makes all of us kind of sad...but also a little excited for the new school year and seeing all of our friends!

                                      

                                      

                                     



Then we headed down town to meet Daddy and go to Yards Park to splash around and listen to the band play! When we arrived it was sunny and bright. We couldn't wait to play in that water with all the kids...

                                     

And 5 seconds later it got cloudy and started to rain! This weather is too crazy! But that didn't stop us! Into the fountains we went. And it was a blast!





                                      

                                     

                                     

Then we headed downstairs to the big fountain! There were all kinds of kids playing. And all the adults were hiding under the bridge watching us! And then...

                                    





It REALLY started raining. So hard! Even Daddy and Mama were getting wet. But not too bad under that overhang!

                                     

                                     




Then the security guard kicked us all out of the water because he said it was inclement weather...so we headed back upstairs to the spouting fountains.



But behind us the clouds seemed to be parting over the Anacostia River. We could even see blue skies.




So when it stopped raining we headed back into the fountain to play. Sadly we got to word that the band was cancelled because of the rain. And even worse, the Nat's game that was supposed to be played tonight was postponed until tomorrow so all those Nat's fans came swarming over to where we were since the weather actually ended up being really nice once the rain stopped. We couldn't figure out why the game was cancelled. So all the places that we had planned to eat we so crowded that we couldn't get in. That was super annoying...







                                     

                                     



But some nice people gave us their leftover cupcakes...I pointed out to Mama that too bad they looked like poop emoji's!!!

                                     



So we played for a little while then we headed back to Capitol Hill and went to Bull Feathers for dinner. We think that's a really funny name for a restaurant. But our food was surprisingly good and I even got to drink my gingerale out of a baby beer glass. That made me happiest!

                                     

                                     





We had an awesome day. This is what summer break is all about! And on the way home my little brothers promptly fell fast asleep! Nothing like a nap at 9 o'clock at night!!

Today Joseph came over and we attempted to crack open my gem stone that I bought in Duck. I hit it with the hammer over and over. I threw it. I hit it some more. I finally got it to break but boy was that one hard rock! 





We even saw a lizard hanging out by the steps! He was so cool looking with his yellow and black  body and his blue and black tail!!

                                     



It was pretty steamy outside so we decided to come inside. We played lots of different board games and ran around and jumped on the furniture.



                                    

                                    



Then our friends Miss Alyssa and Michael J came over while Mama went to the dentist. We had fun with all of our company! We even got to eat popcorn and watch some shows!



Then I got to help Mama make dinner. We had porcupine meatballs and they were SO GOOD! keeper recipe for sure!

                                     

I got to set the table for dinner. I love being a helper!

                                     

                                   

Later we got showered up and we got to snuggle up and watch some shows before heading to bed. It was a good day!

This morning after breakfast Mama had us get down to business and do some summer homework. We did some complaining but we got it all done and she said that we all did a really good job. Because we're smart and she knows that!







Later Daddy came home early from work and we all enjoyed this beautiful day at the pool! The water was great, not too cold and we had a blast splashing around together. We played at the playground for a little bit but it was kind of steamy up there in the sun so we headed back into the water. It was a great pool trip!





                                    





Later we went to the Pub for dinner with our friends. We've been missing them with all of our beach trips and now Micheal and the Coll's will all be going on their 2 week vacations starting this Saturday. We are going to miss them but it was fun to catch up tonight!
