This morning we started the day with mass. After mass there was a big brunch in the Monsignor Stricker room for all of the 2nd and 8th grade families celebrating First Communion and Confirmation this year. There was tons of food. We all ate and then ran around with all of our friends.

                                  

                                  





                                  

After brunch we headed to the Pope John Paul II National Shrine for a special day. Kai decided to lay down in the car and not look out the window. After we looked at the amazing mosaics and the beautiful chapel kai complained of a tummy ache. Then he proceeded to puke right there in the main lobby of the shrine. Mama thought that maybe he and Daddy were in it together to get to go home early...So, needless to say, we had to go home!

                                   

                                  

                                  

                                  

Once we got home Kai felt 100%. He was just car sick! So we relaxed for a little while and then we headed outside to play with our friends. We played some football and basketball and kickball. We played with cars and swords. We had a fun afternoon. Too bad it's not warm like it was yesterday. I think winter weather might be back. Today started off warm and summer like again! We played in the bounce house and ran around outside all morning. Then Daddy made us an EPIC snack-a-pallooza!!





                                  



Then Kai and Liam came back from their sleep over at Liam's house. We all got to have ice cream on the front porch! It always seems to taste better on the front porch!

                                  

                                   

Then it started to get really windy and rainy so we quickly cleaned up the front yard and ran inside to play out of the storm for a while. When the rain stopped there was a huge rainbow and our summer weather was officially over! The temperature dropped about 20 degrees and it was downright cold out! It sure was nice while it lasted!





So we all read books with Mama and hung out until it was time for our babysitter Megan Murphy to come over. Then Mary and Taylor came to play with us too while Mama and Daddy went out to celebrate Mr. Coll's birthday with the Coll's and some of their friends. We had a fun night and so did they!

                                  

This morning was a beautiful day that felt like summer outside! I got to have some friends from my school over to play! Connor and his little brother Emmet, Brenden and his sister and my friend Liam all came to enjoy this awesome morning with me! We played basketball, we played bounce house, we ran around and had snacks and took lots of toys out to play with. Once my friends were gone Mama and I did some cleaning up. Then Mama escaped to have a relaxing pedicure. Then she went to her friend, Mrs. Gillon's house to have an afternoon margarita. I took a nap in the car while Daddy and I waited to pick up my brothers...

                                 



                                   

Then it was time for our first hockey practice!! It took a lot of time to get all that gear on. We were feeling very big and bulky BUT at least it won't hurt when we fall! We had a really good and patient coach. He used to play for the Caps a long time ago!! We learned some basics and now we need to practice and get out there for next weeks practice!

                                  

                                  

                                   









After hockey we passed by our friends Liam and Maddie Highfill's house. Their Mama and our friends Eli and Calvin's mom told us to come back and play for a little while. So we did! The kids ran around while the mama's had some wine! It sure was a nice, Summer, February night!

                                  

                                 

                                  

Then our friends the Coll's came over. Mama and Daddy grilled and then Kai got to go home with Liam for a sleep over. It was a super fun night. I hope this great weather doesn't get too cold in the coming week.
