This morning we started the day with mass. After mass there was a big brunch in the Monsignor Stricker room for all of the 2nd and 8th grade families celebrating First Communion and Confirmation this year. There was tons of food. We all ate and then ran around with all of our friends.

                                  

                                  





                                  

After brunch we headed to the Pope John Paul II National Shrine for a special day. Kai decided to lay down in the car and not look out the window. After we looked at the amazing mosaics and the beautiful chapel kai complained of a tummy ache. Then he proceeded to puke right there in the main lobby of the shrine. Mama thought that maybe he and Daddy were in it together to get to go home early...So, needless to say, we had to go home!

                                   

                                  

                                  

                                  

Once we got home Kai felt 100%. He was just car sick! So we relaxed for a little while and then we headed outside to play with our friends. We played some football and basketball and kickball. We played with cars and swords. We had a fun afternoon. Too bad it's not warm like it was yesterday. I think winter weather might be back. Bummer!
