This morning was the beginning of a big day! Bright and early Mama and I boarded the school bus to George Washington's Mt. Vernon! It was such a great day! It was warm and sunny and clear and we were with all my friends!
We took a tour of the main house and the grounds and we took a look at the ice house and the Potomac River and the smoke house and the animals and gardens. It was so cool to walk all around the grounds. We had such a fun day and I was so excited that Mama was with me!
Then we got to do a wreath laying at the tombs of George and Martha Washington. It was a very special ceremony and Mama was really proud of us and St. Bernadette's 3rd grade for this honor.
Then we had lunch and hit the gift shop!! Boy was the gift shop fun!
Then Mama, Zahara and I hit the museum. It was really cool and not very crowded. We got to check out all of the exhibits and we watched a short film and saw all kinds of really interesting things!
Then it was time to head back to the bus for the long, hot journey home. It sure was a great day. We loved Mt. Vernon and we had so much fun!
While Mama was on the field trip with Kai and Finn was at school I got to have a dude's day with Daddy!! First I helped him water all of our beautiful flowers and plants!
Then it was off to the barber shop where Papi took us!
I was super excited and my barber did a nice job!
I am one handsome, cool dude!
Then it was off to Mod Pizza for some bacon and olive pizza! YUM!
Then it was time to hit the fountain!!! I love the Silver Spring fountain and today was a perfect day to cool off in the water. It was so hot outside!
And who doesn't love a little sun bathing on the bricks...
Later I got to help Mama make dinner. MeMa and PopPop came over to visit with us and then we all had a super yummy dinner!
Daddy grilled chicken sausages, we had corn on the cob, salad, tater tots and watermelon. It tastes almost like summer already! It was so fun to have our grandparents' here for dinner. We had a great night!
