We got on the bus and it was a little drizzly but it looked to be stopping.
And thankfully when we got there it appeared to be done raining. Hooray!
Our first stop was the amazing penguins!! We learned so much about them and that they are African penguins who like the warm/mild weather. We got to see them being fed, swimming around and playing. They were SO cute and I think my brothers would really have loved to see them!
There were even pelicans and other cool birds...
Mama really liked seeing the flamingos!
There were a lot of exotic birds and then we got to the big cats! They were huge and really close to us. It was a little scary!
Then we saw some lemurs and apes and other cool African animals.
The giraffes were the cutest! But boy do they smell bad! We wish we still had them in DC but it's nice that we got to see them here in Baltimore!
I got to jump over some lilly pads and play in a life sized birds nest with Liam. We got to walk around and have lunch with all our classmates...
Then we got to check out the otter. He was SO CUTE swimming around and having fun right over us!
Then it started POURING down rain. So we got soaked but it was kind of fun!
I also got a stuffed penguin all of my own at the gift shop!
We ended up a little wet but it was a great day and we had so much fun exploring the zoo!
