We were so lucky because it was a beautiful, sunny and HOT day! Perfect for splashing in the water and enjoying a day on the beach!
We even got to see the crab boat coming in!
Auntie Tori was there when we got there. We attached ourselves on our rafts and floated around...unfortunately we floated a little too far and Mama had to come out and get us and bring us back in to shore. Next time we'll either anchor close to shore or bring the oars to get back in!
We liked having Lottie there with us too. And later Timon joined the fun. It's nice to have a beach that dogs are allowed to play on!
Auntie Nay Nay and Uncle Harvey and Caleb arrived next. Caleb was happy to put his little toes in the water!
I did lots of rock and shell skipping today and I even hit my record! 4 skips!
Then Auntie Rita, Uncle Daryl and Chance arrived. We were happy that everyone was together!
Chance LOVED the beach and he had such a fun day hanging with his big cousins! And we loved showing him the ropes!
The beach was pretty crowded for Cove Point but everyone was far apart. It was nice to see all the people and the boats and water crafts out there.
We even did some jellyfish hunting unfortunately! But we weren't scared of them and we all basically got stung and it was just a little itchy. That was the only downfall of Cove Point! Jellyfish! They really weren't too bad though.
It was really fun playing with our little cousins. They're so cute and small and it's nice to be their little role models!
We saw these super cool sea planes that took off somewhere on the water and flew right past us!
We hung out with Auntie Tori and skipped more rocks!
We even had some noodle fights!
It was a great day on the beach!
And later we went back to the house, we ate dinner then we headed back to the beach to see if we could catch some fireworks. We got to see an amazing blood moon on the way back to our spot. It was beautiful!
And boy were we surprised! Not only did everyone on the beach have their own sparklers and fountains and light displays of one sort or the other, we got a full fledged, professional fireworks show right above our heads! It was crazy and a little scary. But so fun and we were so grateful to be able to see it all up close!
And a beautiful, bright sunset to boot!
