Today was a most excellent day because it was the 7th grade field trip to the African American History Museum! And we got to ride there on a school bus!

 

All the moms (and dad's) who chaperoned met us there, choosing to drive in their own cars. I guess they don't like riding on school buses...

                               

   

                               

It was a beautiful building and there was just so much to look at and read! We started on the top floor where a lot of pop icons and food and drink history lived.

   

                              

                               

                               

                               

                              

                              

                               

                              

Then we made our way to the bottom floor to experience the museum in the right order.

                               

It was definitely heavy but we learned some important things and some necessary lessons about history.

   

                               

After lunch we headed back up to check out the sports area. It was really cool and a lot of fun to spend the day there. We could have spent 4 more days there to take it all in!

                               

                              

A great time was had by all! Field trips are great!
