This view coming over the dunes will never get old. What another beautiful, perfect day!
The waves are indeed very rough and strong today! So, we decided to do some serious sledding into them rather than getting all the way in.
We were having so much fun sledding and splashing and getting sandy! Nothing beats a day at the beach!
We made a retaining wall for when those giant waves started coming up the hill at high tide and it worked at keeping the water at bay. Lots of hard work but we love digging in the sand!
And laying in the sand, and sitting in the water in the sand and getting sand in our hair and in our ears and in our bathing suits...okay, not so much in our suits but it's fun getting it out of our suits in the water!
Later Daddy and Mama's friends, the Conrad's, came to hang on the beach with us. They were crazy enough to get all the way in those wild waves. When they got in the waves would pull you almost a whole block down the beach within seconds! Mama wouldn't let us try it out!
They had a nice evening beach hang and it's always fun to hang with neighborhood friends from home here at the beach!
Later we had a late dinner at Shotti's and FINALLY got to see our favorite old Kirby's veteran, Miss Lisa! She's so nice and totally hooked us up with a table with no wait! It's good to know people!
