Yesterday one of the moms got this picture of all of us 8th graders chillin in our new 8th grade spot outside for recess. We get to chill uninterrupted by the younger kids! 

Then I got to help Mama put the dry batter ingredients together for the fish fry this weekend! And Jax and I got to finish off the crabs we got the other day! They were still so delicious!

                                

                                 

On Friday while we were at school for Grandparents Day, Mama squeezed all the beautiful pink grapefruits to make Poloma's for everyone helping out at the shack!

 

                                    

We had a super fun time at Grandparents Day. Unfortunately Jax was sick and didn't come to school but Kai and I got to enjoy the day and afterward Nana and Papi took us out to All Set for lunch!! We sure are lucky!

 

    

   

 

Then it was time to set up the shack and the fish frying section! This time Mama had a plan and it was a good one! It looked like a professional fish frying stand! Nana and Papi were working on getting the fryers and fish section set up with Mama while Daddy and Mr. Devilbiss worked on getting the grills fired up and ready to go!

   

   

It was a beautiful evening and we were so happy that MeMa and PopPop came to join the fun, help out and hang out!

  

And Miss Heather who is always such a great helper on Fish Fry night at the shack! 

                               

                                

   

Mr. Filburn came through with another burner and fryer, Uncle Shaun was there to be Papi's right hand man while Mama and MeMa battered up the fish, Nana served all the dishes and Daddy got to grilling!

   

   

   

And thank goodness for all the helpers inside that shack that kept the window running smoothly while the others kept the back of the shack on the move!

   

   

It was all hands on deck and we were so excited that our family came to join the fun too! We love when our little cousins come enjoy the shack and the field!

   

   

Everyone was in a great mood, it was Cinco De Mayo and the food and drinks were flowing! What a fun night we were having!

The lines never stopped but we had plenty of food and everyone's bellies were full and happy! 

 

   

   

   

   

   

   

The whole night was a huge success! The shack made lots of money and everyone had lots of fun! can't wait to do it again next year!
