Then Mama and I went to run some errands. Just a Kai and Mama day! We hit the library and the grocery store. Then we went to Michael's to get something to display my cake pops with!
When they got home Finn and I got to help Kai make his cake pops for the junior bake off tonight!
Then it was off to the competition for the Chili cook off and the junior bake off. The competition looked stiff but we were confident in our chili and our dessert. We were also glad to see lots of our friends there. It sure was fun running around in the school hall with all of them!
And boy were those cake pops tasty!
MeMa and PopPop came to join us and they got to taste all of the competitors chili and desserts. They thought we should be the winners but we think they're just biased.
I was really excited and nervous to share my cake pops with the judges!
The judges made their decisions...And the winner is...
For first place chili, Mama! She won a trophy and a $50 gift card to the Corner Pub! And although I didn't win for my cake pops I still got recognition for a job well done and a gift card for 5 Below.I was excited about that. And next year I'll try again with another recipe! And the best part was that we all had fun!
