Today Mama's day started in the new normal way, with her daily "check-in" with her team at work. She has had lots of these virtual meetings and there will be so many more to come...
It was a nice, warm day but a little drizzly so we decided to head down to Kenwood to check out the cherry blossoms and if it wasn't crowded Daddy and Mama said that we could get out of the car and maybe have a picnic. Well, it was our lucky day because there was almost no one there! Except for Auntie Rita and Chance!!
We got to have a picnic. We got to check out the amazing cherry blossoms and we got to go exploring and climbing and having lots of outdoor fun!!
It was so nice to be able to have some outdoor fun with plenty of social distancing and just feeling a little normal for a couple of hours in this crazy time!
It was nice to see our little cousin Chance and play outside for a while!
We even managed to take a nice family photo with the cherry blossoms in the background!
And I just pretended I was a sloth in a tree...
All of the flowers and trees were so pretty!
When we got home we hunkered down and did some homework. We've been doing really well at getting some good work done!
Then we went for a nice family walk around the neighborhood! We saw some fun chalk sayings and even a recipe for making our own sidewalk chalk! We'll have to keep that for when we run out of the real chalk!
Then we stopped at our friend's house, the Gillon's, where we climbed their trees and had a fun social distancing visit with them from their deck!
When we got home I got to help Mama make our breakfast for dinner! It was SO YUMMY! Especially all the BACON!
Then we did a little FaceTime with Nana and Papi! We sure do miss seeing our people in person! Thank goodness for technology!
