Last night Jax and I spent the entire night throwing up. I guess the stomach bug got us! So Daddy and Mama were up with us all night. BUT, that didn't stop Mama from rallying bright and early to head to the Women's March on Washington...Mrs. Riley, our friend's Colin and Maira's mom went with Mama. Even before they got close to the march starting area and route there were tons of people flowing into DC. There was also a lot of security.

Daddy hooked Mama and Mrs. Riley up with great directions into the city and parking in a super secret Capitol lot right next to the Democratic National Headquarters! They were able to park and walk right up to all the action.

And even at 9:15am this is what it looked like. There were already a TON of people there and streaming in hour by hour. More people than Mama and Mrs. Riley have ever seen!

We finally started feeling a little better in the afternoon so Daddy let us have some ring o noodle soup and some popcorn while we hunkered down to watch a movie.

Mama and Mrs. Riley listened to the many speakers like America Ferera and Gloria Steinem. It was really amazing. Then they tried to meet up with some of their friends and family but cell phone service wasn't working so they couldn't let ahold of anyone and there were SO MANY PEOPLE that you couldn't walk around as freely anymore. It would have taken hours to get across the mall to even look for people. So they walked around, enjoyed the diverse sights and people and signs.

It was an amazing day. Daddy and all of us were really proud of Mama that she went to stand up for women and all human rights. It was an important day for Mama to participate in and we'll always remember it!

We did lots of chilling and playing at home today. We just want everyone to get healthy again!

After Mama came home and took a little rest she went back out to meet up with some of her old DC girlfriends that she wasn't able to hook up with down town during the march. One of her friends, Kari, came all the way back from London to participate in the march. Her other friend Carrie came back from Seattle to be a part of it. Mama was excited to connect with her girls. She said it was just like old times!

Meanwhile, Finn and I had an epic Battleship game going on!

The owner of the bar that Mama and her friends were at, The Midlands Beer Garden, let all the marchers put their signs up in the front windows of his business. They thought that was kind of awesome!
