Today Mama found a dragon fruit at Trader Joe's so she grabbed it for me since I've always wanted to try one!

It was so beautiful, there was no doubt about that. BUT since we don't really know how to choose a dragon fruit, or what they're supposed to taste like we're assuming this one just wasn't a good one. It was very mild with very little taste. We liked the texture but we'll have to research if it's supposed to be a lot sweeter and if so, how do we know if we have a good one.

After school one of my oldest best friends, Ricky, came over for a little play date. His family is in town just for a few days and it was so nice to connect with him! I sure have missed him but it's nice that we are able to play online still!

I had fun playing with all the big boys! We played some electronics and then we ran around like crazy boys playing hide and go seek and other games! It was a fun afternoon!

Then when Ricky left it was time to get to work! We had an America's Test Kitchen Kids recipe that we had to make and Mama said she was not helping at all. It was only the boys cooking and we really got to work!

We chopped and pounded and blended and measured...It was so awesome to do everything from start to finish!

I made the roasted pepper sauce all by myself!

I measured and made the rice!

And I made the chicken from start to finish! Even the flipping even though I hated it because I was getting burnt by the oil popping!

Then it was time to eat...Simple Seared Chicken breast with roasted red pepper sauce!

Daddy and Mama loved the sauce. We could go without it, and we did! The roasted red pepper flavor paired with smoked paprika was a little too much for our child's pallet. But we loved the chicken and the rice! And Daddy and Mama said the sauce was a beautiful color!

We all liked it in the end and we decided that we'd definitely make it again but without the sauce!
