It was pitch black when we got here last night so we had no idea how beautiful it was outside until we got up this morning! So green and SO MANY COWS!
And the best part? Cousin time and breakfast made by Uncle BJ! Pancakes and sausage patties!! YUM!
The cows came right up to our fence line to drink from the spring. It was so cool to see them up close!
And I got to check out the baby lake in back of the house we were staying in.
Later our cousins came with us to check out the red barn and the grounds ahead of the celebration. There were geese for miles!
Then we ran into Ryan practicing for his part!
And got to run around on the cat walk and the altar!
The inside of the barn is very cool too. They were still setting things up but it looks amazing!
Look at the size of that chandelier!
And the head table and mantle were very impressive!
We went home and got ready and came back in time for the party. Everyone looked so nice!
Hooray!
For the cocktail hour we got to hang out with our cousins and have oysters and just relax for a bit!
Things were looking up and we were so excited when we saw that kids table full of candy! Sadly the rest of the celebration was pretty boring for kids with speech after speech so we got to leave and go back to the farm house.
We got to play with our Virginia cousins and run around the play room for a bit and then Charlie warmed her elephant up in the microwave...It was an adventure but we can't wait to get home tomorrow!
