Today was another beautiful, hot and sunny day in Key West! Daddy and Mama got their coffee then it was time to get ready for a beach adventure at Higgs Beach!
We were off in the golf cart!
We made it to the beach in no time and got some chairs set up under the palms. No umbrellas today because it was windy out!
The water was great and no seaweed! Woo Hoo!
We took a walk down the long cheese grater pier - do not recommend in bare feet! Boy does it hurt!
And the creepy steps into the sea are like a stairway to the abyss....ummm no thank you!
It was fun to hang way out on the long pier over the water!
And we did a lot of swimming in the water. Even Daddy and Mama got in with us, that's why we have no photos!
We got to read and relax and play and run around!
Thankfully we brought the mini soccer ball so we could use it to play volleyball. We made up our own rules, of course!
And I found a dried up coconut that looked like a cigar...
Then it was time to go have a snack and a drink at Salute on the beach. It was fantastic!
It was a perfect beach day. Warm and toasty. The wind, while it seemed annoying, helped to blow all the clouds away quickly and kept us cool when the sun got too hot. It was so much fun!
All of the kite surfers were out today. They made good use of that wind!
Then it was time to head back and return our golf cart. It sure was fun having it!
And tonight was our chance to try our freshly caught fish. It was so, so good! A little butter, some garlic and lemon and that's it. Pefection!
And later Daddy and Mama ran out to Hank's to grab a night cap, just the two of them. It was great and the perfect ending to another perfect day!
