The first thing we did was pull up the crab pots to see if there was anything in them. And Emmett caught the first crab! He was a big jimmy, over 6.5" and the captain showed us all how to hold him without getting pinched!
Then we bated up our fishing poles and headed out to do some fishing! We were all so excited!
There were two other kids on our boat with their grandparents. They were visiting from Texas! We saw the nest with baby osprey and their Daddy. He did not like us getting so close on the boat. He stays and protects the babies while the mama goes out and hunts for food! That was pretty cool to see.
Then it was time to get serious. First we fished in the reeds over by the shore.
We weren't having much luck in this spot. The little girl caught one little, tiny fish here but no one else was getting any bites...
So we pulled in our rods and headed to the next fishing location under the draw bridge. It was a perfect weather day. Just a little over cast, nice breeze and not too hot!
Once we got to our new location the fish were practically jumping on to our rods! Liam was the first to catch not one but two fish on his rod! And they were HUGE!!! It was so exciting and so much fun!
Then we caught another huge crab in the net!
Then it was my turn to catch a fish. Emmett helped me reel him in. It is so fun catching fish!!
Then every one of us caught a fish in quick succession...Our captains sure do know where those fish hang out. It was awesome!
The Captain helped me reel mine in. I was really excited and Mama was so excited for me!
Then it was my turn!! I couldn't believe I really caught a fish. I can't wait to go fishing again!
Then we caught another big crab on our way back from our fishing adventure! So exciting!
It was such a great family day! We had so much fun and we can't wait to do it again. Maybe next time Daddy can come with us!
It was fun to check out all the other boats and houses on the bay. Our Captains told us all kinds of cool tid bits about the area and the houses and we even got to see Cal Ripkins house and Bill Belicheck's house and Kevin Spacey's house and we saw a yacht that's for sale for $24 million!!! Wow!
After our adventure we headed to the Boathouse for a little lunch. Another fun outing with our friends.
It was such a great day. So great indeed that we all passed out in the car. We were exhausted from all that fun! Can't wait for the next adventure!
Later Daddy wanted to go check out Hudson Coastal of dinner. I liked that they had a nice grassy area out front that me and my brothers could play in.
Then we got oyster. I learned that I LOVE oysters. Boy, Mama and Daddy are in trouble with us. We've got some expensive taste for little boys! But they love sharing sea food with us and they're glad that we like it.
My kids burger was bigger than my head!!
It was a perfect ending to the perfect day!! We love Summer time!
