We were off school today for a Federal holiday so off we went to Lariland Farms to do our Fall apple and pumpkin picking!
There weren't a lot of apples like most years because of all the rain we've been having but we managed to gather a few pounds!
The only thing that would have made it feel more like fall would have been if it wasn't almost 90 degree's, sunny and blazing hot!! Most years when we come here it's cool and crisp and we wear sweatshirts and pants. Not this year!
Most years Grandma came here with us to do our Fall picking. We were missing her today but we had fun making family memories. And we know that Grandma was here with us too!
We even got to pick some broccoli! We'll make some roasted and some we'll make into broccoli cheddar soup! Mama promised that we can make that an annual tradition too since we did that last year too!
Then it was off to the gourds and pumpkins! There were lots to choose from and we all picked winners! We got some big daddy's and we can't wait until Mama carves them for us!
We especially love checking out their GIANT pumpkins that they have by the entrance every year. Mama always makes us take our obligatory big pumpkin picture. But we really like it too!
When we got home we did some playing with boxes...Jax was our surprise delivery!
Then I got to help Mama and Daddy make dinner. I made the salad and the cheesy rice!
Then MeMa and PopPop stopped to see us on their way home from the beach. We were happy to see them! I did some reading to everyone.
Then I got to help Papi fix our toilet. I'm a pretty good helper!
Then Nana and Papi joined us for dinner. We were happy to spend some time with them. We had yummy ribs and salad and roasted broccoli and cheesy rice. It all was delicious! And we got to have dessert. Yummy!
