Today is Thanksgiving and we're so excited! It is a super chilly day today so we started the morning snuggled up by the fire watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in stereo!
And nothing says Thanksgiving morning like leftover pizza and cheese fries for breakfast!!
Then we headed to our friends the Zanger's house. They have an annual Thanksgiving open house and fire pit party that we've never been able to attend. All the adults stayed warm outside with the fire pit, cherry bomb shots and bloody mary's.
The kids were smarter because we stayed warm inside with chess and heat!
And before we knew it, it was time for Thanksgiving dinner at Uncle Freddy's house! There was SO MUCH FOOD! Turkey's and ham and roasted pork. Tamales and mac and cheese and stuffing and rice with chorizo and eggs. Sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce and green bean casserole and creamed spinach and corn bread and brussels sprouts....and...and...that wasn't even all! Or the dessert table!
We got to see so much family and play with lots of cousins. It was a super fun and delicious time.
We had drinking contests and hung outside by the fire pit to watch some of the lousy Redskins game! But man was it fun. And it was so warm and toasty out by that fire!
It was a wonderful night and we were thankful for all of our family and friends near and far and for our gracious host, Uncle Freddy! Hooray for Thanksgiving!
