Well, it was a long night for Daddy and Mama getting everything packed up for our trip to Key West...
We got to the airport at 4:30am for our 6am flight!!! Wow, it was EARLY!
But, we had plenty of time to check our bags and get to our gate, and who can be in a bad mood when you're headed to a tropical vacation?
Unfortunately it was a super bumpy ride. The flight attendants couldn't even get up to give us drinks or snacks. But we got a good view as we came in for a landing in Fort Lauderdale...
And as we stepped outside we felt that warm air and we were instantly HAPPY! Hooray for VACATION!
Our first stop was Robert Is Here fruit and vegetable stand and animal farm! It was SO COOL! So many exotic fruits and veggies and smoothies! Even some fruits that Mama said she's only ever had in Ecuador!
The beautiful, tropical birds were singing and talking and whistling at us!
The animals were SO COOL! And they all were hanging out together in the same area. That was crazy!
And we got to have the first Cuban Sandwich of the trip!
We got to check out all the fun sights on the way down highway 1 to Key West!
Then we decided to stop at Robbies to feed the tarpon!
The Tarpon were huge...unfortunately those stinky pelicans were very grabby and took the fish I was trying to feed the tarpon!
And we're pretty sure Daddy is eyeing this outfit. Maybe Santa will bring it for him...
And then we were off again! Almost there! We can feel it!
We got there, we unpacked at the house and parked the car and then we were off to explore on foot!
Our first sunset at Mallory Square! It was a gorgeous evening and we were exhausted but SO happy to be in Key West and be on vacation!
We had a late dinner/snacks at Two Friends. It was lots of fun to be out and about in the city!
We walked around the town and checked out all the rowdy people in the bars and walking the streets. It was really fun!
And we checked out this beautiful church and full moon on our way home to our townhouse!
And admired the new hats we all got at Ron Jon Key West. It was a great first day. Now we need some sleep since we've been up since 3am!
