This morning is Easter Sunday and we woke up to a note from the Easter Bunny and some fun goodies for us and for Daddy and Mama!

                             

                               

                               

Then it was time to get our first full day in Key West under way! We got all geared up in our new hats and shades, we got all sun screened and we were looking good for our outing to Lagerhead beach bar!

   

We started the walk and encounter many of our noisy rooster friends! We really like seeing them and we love seeing all the babies running around!

                               

Then we saw these amazing flowers/plants? on the ground that fell from a tree. Thankfully Mama's friend Miss Amy looked it up and told us what they are called. They are called Shaving Brush trees or Dr. Seuss trees!! We know why. They are awesome!

                               

Then we made it to Lagerheads! WOW, it was just what the doctor ordered! A beach bar and snack shack. The weather was hot and sunny and the water was perfect!

                              

And take a look at the size of that foot long hot dog! Perfection!

                              

                              

                              

We buried each other in the sand, we played ball in the water, we splashed and dove and played...

                              

                               

                               

                               

It was really the most perfect day out and what a way to start our trip!

                             

We even got to see some parrot fish and you can't tell from our pictures but their colors were amazing! They were aqua and orange and pink and looked like they had blue lipstick and aqua eye shadow on. They were beautiful! And huge!

                              

                                

   

And Daddy and Mama got to relax and sit and watch us and read and have a cocktail or two. It was a perfect day for them too!

   

                              

And we found some coconuts that we were able to pry open!

                              

                               

                              

                               

We got to do one of our favorite things to start the trip!

                               

                               

                              

And on our way home we saw more crazy roosters like this one crowing from up in a tree!!!

                              

                              

                              

And all the beautiful orchids that apparently people plant attached to their palm trees here. They sure are pretty!

                               

                              

Then we decided to check out our development pool. It was small but just what we needed. It was warm and we got a little time in the pool. That was fun!

                              

   

For dinner we headed to Half Shell down by the water and boy was that a great choice!

                               

We had a delicious seafood tower with stone crab claws, shrimp, oysters, clams...everything was so delicious! We also got some steamed clams in garlic butter, french fries and chicken strips. What a great dinner we had!

                              

                                

Perfect day and night in Key West! And a walk around town and through Duvall street to end the night.
