This morning we headed down to the Mallory Square area and walked around in the art mall. They had some beautiful things in there!
Then we headed to the Key West Aquarium! We watched the huge tarpon being fed. They have been in this tank since 1968!
There were also turtles in there and huge lizard!
So many cool fish and sea life. Look it's lobsters like the ones we saw when we went snorkeling!
And we got to touch sea creatures in the touch tank like conch, starfish, horseshoe crabs and other animals!
Then it was off to the Shipwreck Museum! It was really cool in there and made to look like the inside of a real ship!
And we got to climb the shipwreck watch tower! It was really tall and we could see the entire island from the Gulf side to the Ocean side!!
Then we were off to Half Shell...again! If it aint broke, don't fix it! We had another amazing seafood tower there. Everything was so fresh and delicious. We got to watch them shuck the oysters and clams and crack the stone crab claws.
We will definitely go back there next time we're in Key West! What a gem of a place!
Then we walked along the docks on the way home.
And stopped to look in this huge candy store!
And we encountered the creepiest mannequins on the planet! We'll be having nightmares for weeks!
Then we headed up to Higgs Beach to check it out. It was very windy and the water was really rough but the beach was beautiful and we were so glad we went to check it out!
We ran along the pier and enjoyed a beautiful sunset!
Then we walked along the beach and checked out the show going on at the pavilion. It was really nice and relaxing!
Then we got a slice of pizza and a street hot dog!
It was a fun and delicious dinner to have while a little parade went by to celebrate the succession of Key West of the US many years ago!
