This morning I woke up ready to go snorkeling!
Then we got in the car and headed to Sanibel Island to spend a day on the beach, look for some cool shells and see some of our St. B's friends!
But first we passed my place, The Lani Kai! This place has been around for many years but I like it because it has my name!
We got to cross 4 bridges on the way to Sanibel!
When we got there we saw tons of shells and sea welk shell casings and spongy things that looked like brains! We walked the beach with Mama looking for treasures, exploring and chasing little pipers!
Then we met up with our friend Catherine and miss Jessica and mister Bryant. Then a whole bunch of our St. B's friends came out to join us! I even got to play with my friend Jessie from Miss Bulley's class. And the rest of the girls, I played with all the girls!!
Then Daddy helped us make a Smurf village!! It was so awesome. We made tons of castles full of sea shells. It was so cool!
And we saw LOTS of Dolphins! They were swimming so close to us and even performing tricks for us!! It was so cool!
I got some reading in and then one of the dads found a super huge conch out in the water. He was alive so we had to put him back out in the sea...
Then it was time to head back to Ft. Myers beach. It was a great day with friends. But we were excited to head back to hang with our family!
We met up with them at the Salty Crab. It was so fun running around on the beach, playing hide and go seek and then having some drinks and dinner. We had a great night!
We even got to see a sneaky little sunset. It looked like we would miss it but we saw the sun peaking out just before it went below the horizon. It was pretty cool!
Then it was time to head home. But first a stop at the ice cream shop!
Nothing like BLUE ice cream (who invented that?!) It was another great Florida day!
