Then we got all of our stuff together and headed to the American History Museum! It was a super hot day and perfect for hanging inside checking out the exhibits!
The first thing we saw was the Batman car. AND it's the exact car that I had in my hand to bring in with me!! So crazy. It was so cool.
Our first stop was the history of food and the American table. And Mama's favorite, Julia Child's kitchen. Mama could have stayed there all day checking that exhibit out. It was so cool!
There were so many interesting and cool exhibits to see. We loved all of it. From Military and War, The Star Spangled Banner, the food exhibits, Automobiles, trains, trollies, buses, trucks, industry, presidents, first ladies, music and computers and technology, inventions and banking...We didn't even get to all of it. But that just means we get to come back and do it again!!
Then we got to go in a 3D ride simulator! We did a Cosmic Space Coaster! It was SO MUCH FUN!!
Then we went and had a late lunch at Clyde's in China Town. It looked really fancy! We had such a nice time and a great lunch together for our last Hurrah!
Later, our friends Michael and Miss Alyssa came over to give us a little "happy first day of school" treat! They gave us all a card and Nerds! They are so thoughtful. We can't wait to see them on the blacktop tomorrow!
Then we had a nice, light dinner, got showered up and watched a show before heading to an early bed time. We need to be nice, and fresh for school tomorrow. And the tooth fairy won't come if I don't go to sleep so I'm off to catch some z's!
