Sleep over success! This is how we ended up in the morning! It was a great sleep over in Daddy and Mama's room!

In the afternoon we decided to head to the GoKart track in Bladensburg. It was a cloudy day but it was mild and perfect for some racing!

Mama and I had the fastest kart on the track and we beat EVERYONE! We even lapped Daddy, Jax and Kai multiple times! Plus Mama is a great driver! Winners of the day!

I was able to drive my own car and it was so much fun!

We all had so much fun! We love gokarting!

After gokarting we decided to go on an impromptu adventure down town and we ended up at Yards Park by Nat's stadium! The water looked so inviting that we all ended up in it!

We started off just putting our feet in but...

...We ended up fully submerged! And it was so much fun! Even though Daddy and Mama didn't really plan for this type of adventure. SO, Daddy did some improvising. And visited a CVS with supplies that we needed thankfully!

We had towels, cheap flip flops and dry touristy tee shirts to change into thanks to Daddy's quick thinking!

When we were all dry we took a stroll down the transportation walk by the DOT offices. It's very cool over there. Like an outdoor museum!

Then we hit Wise Guys pizza to get a few slices. BOY were they good!

And let me introduce you to Garlic Knot Jax...get it? "not" Jax? I was in disguise!

Then we got in the car to head home.

But as we approached the Capitol we decided to make a stop. We were really thrilled to see that the fencing had been taken down and that people were out enjoying picnics and the beautiful lawn of the Capitol.

Then Daddy took us to a hidden gem that we have never been to at the Capitol, the Summer House!

This is where people would come to sit and relax in the shade of the walls, water their horses, freshen up with some water from the fountains and socialize. It was a super cool history lesson with Daddy and we were so happy that he showed it to us! Since we usually walk up the south side of the Capitol we never get to see this hidden gem on the north side. So glad we did today!

It was a gorgeous evening and we really enjoyed walking around one of our very favorite spots in the city!

The Capitol was looking regal tonight and the weather was great.
