To say that today was quite an EPIC day is putting it mildly. We had ANOTHER Monday off school and we're not complaining about that. SO, we started the day off by heading to Homestead Farms to pick our pumpkins! Our first sight were a couple of driving dogs...
Then it was time to get to picking! I decided to man the cart! I'm a strong boy
Then it was off to the fields to pick our pumpkins!
There were miles of them! And it sure felt like a real Fall day out there with the fog and chilly air!
Decisions, Decisions...so many perfect pumpkins to choose from. Green ones and bumpy ones and lumpy ones and long ones and square ones and big round ones....
Daddy was on the case with us! He's got a good eye and helped us make our decisions!
I think I found mine! It's PERFECT!
I got mine and I can barely carry it!!
And I'm still undecided but I'll put all of my choices in the cart until I can decide...
Then our buddy Jake and his mom joined us to pick some pumpkins too!
Then we went to check out the animals! They had the CUTEST baby goats, chickens, big old pigs, alpacas...it was so great and they were all so adorable.
The pumpkins and gourds and all the goodies up by the market were so cool!
The colors were spectacular! We picked some gourds and squash and even some corn!
And it looks like those dogs were asleep on the job when we got back. Maybe they forgot the keys?
The market was full of beautiful produce! We got colorful cauliflower, we got broccoli, heirloom tomatoes, peppers, turnips...
...and even a caramel apple!
For lunch we stopped at the BBQ truck and Daddy got food from the taco truck next door. They were both so tasty. We can't even pick which one was better because they were all so good!
THEN....WE GOT A FAMILY CAR WASH! It's been so long! We were so happy and so excited!
When we came home I ate my green pepper slices dipped in ranch dressing while I worked on my Star Student poster.
THEN...Mama saw that the wait time for voting was short so she hopped in the car and headed to the Marilyn Praisner community center to VOTE! There was a little bit of a line when she got there...
BUT it only took a short time. Mama was a little disappointed, she only had time to read 2 pages of her book while she waited to get inside. Then she voted by paper ballot and is praying that Biden- Harris will be the next President and VP in about a week's time. We're all saying that prayer!
Look at all the beautiful bounty we amassed from our trip to the farm today! When Mama got home I got to help her prepare dinner. We started with turnip chips!
THEN...I LOST MY LOOSE TOOTH!! I've been wanting it to fall out since we went to Duck! I was so exited and I hope the Tooth Fairy comes tonight!
And for dinner we had amazing ribs, turnip chips and lima beans!!!
AND THEN...as if we didn't cram enough into this day...we went to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid drive through book event!!! It was held at Blair High School and it was SO COOL!
It was so neat. We lined up with a bunch of our other friends. We got to do a scavenger hunt from our car, we got to play games, we got to see super cool drive through obstacles...
THEN we got a signed book hand, or skimmer, delivered from the ACTUAL author, Jeff Kinney! It was so cool and such a fun event!
It was the perfect end to an epically perfect, fun filled day!
