Today we woke up to a glorious Saturday morning! The sun was shining, the water looked nice and it was already starting to get HOT! Could we be in for a real beach day in MAY?!

We hit the Coffee Beanery for breakfast and then it was time to hit the beach! We were so excited to get our toes in the sand!

The water was FRIGID! And also there is a big rip current warning and no lifeguards on duty yet so we could only go in to our knees. The waves were some of the biggest we've ever seen and they crashed with such violence that you looked up and took notice when they did! It was a little scary, even for me!

I caught my first giant sand crab of the season. Then swiftly threw him back in to the water so he didn't die!

Then we all did some crab hunting and hole digging!

We even got to visit with this cute little puppy for a bit since it's the last weekend that dogs are allowed on the beach before the summer season!

Then we did some burying and snacking and playing with Little Green Men in the shade! It was a toasty hot day out there!

It's not easy eating a chocolate chip cookie with no hands! Somehow I managed!

We made Jax into the battlefield!

Then we took a little stroll over to 7-eleven to get a treat!

Then high tide rolled in and the water just kept coming further and further and further back on the beach! It was crazy how far back it pushed us and everyone else. Lots of people ended up with very wet blankets and chairs and other things, including us. Thankfully the sun dried it all up!

We ended up with our very own little tide pool!

Then we decided we were going to stop running from the tide and headed in to the Princess Royale for a swim in their covid pool...It was super fun but Daddy and Mama were a little worried...

The Grapefruit Crush helped a little!

It was such a fun day at the beach! It feels good to be back in our happy place!

For dinner we had Blue Fish! Our favorite! Everything was prepared so beautifully! The garnishes were amazing and everything was delicious!

And the sunset from the deck was pretty nice too!

Later we went to get a milkshake from Dumsers but everyone in Ocean City did too so we decided to find somewhere less crowded and without a line snaking down the block! The first stop was Sugar Kingdom!!! Holy Moly, it was too loud and brite and too much candy, not enough ice cream...

So we ended up at a small place called Cosechas that makes fresh fruit smoothies and delicious ice cream! I got black cherry, Finn got graham cracker and Jax got blueberry. Then we all split a mango, strawberry and pineapple smoothie with Daddy and Mama! It was a good choice!

We saw some more cool cars on the way home...

Then we went for a nice nighttime walk when we got home to walk off our ice cream and explore the scene. It was a beautiful evening!
