This morning was cloudy but very warm and muggy. We had our breakfast al fresco and then came in to do some homework.

Then the sun came out and we headed to Magazine street to walk around...right in time for it to start pouring on us! Even in the rain Magazine street is still fun!

Then we made a little pit stop in Sucre for some, well...sugar! The desserts and gelato there were gorgeous! They didn't even look real. They looked too pretty to eat, but we managed to eat them anyway and they were awesome! The chocolate eclair that we shared was the best!

when we came outside the rain was done and the sun was blazing and it was so, incredibly hot! We walked around to some more shops and then headed back to the house where all the kids promptly jumped into the swimming pool!

We had a chill afternoon. Mama went to the store to replenish the supplies, the kids hung out and then we had a late lunch/evening snack of pizza. Then we got our things together and headed back out to the soggy evening parades. These were the Bacchus Parades and even in the rain it was a blast. Thank goodness mama brought our rain boots because the mud was the messy part!

These floats were so amazing and fun. The bands are like none you've ever seen. This will forever put any parade we go to to shame. I don't know what we'll do on the 4th of July this year...maybe we'll have to come back!

When we got home we got cleaned up and set up for a movie and some popcorn.

Jax was done a little before the rest of us. It's been a big day, and week, for us all!
