Today was a no parade kind of day. We headed down to the quarter and started at the Audubon Aquarium! It was SO COOL!
We got to see the penguins. We LOVE penguins!
We even did the simulated hurricane! It sure as windy. But we thought it kind of felt good!
Then we went into the parakeet house and fed the birds. I was in HEAVEN! They even landed on us and ate the food we had on our sticks. I loved it and I can't wait to have my very own bird some day! I wish our aquarium had this cool feature!
Then we got to check out the albino crocodile!! He was HUGE and amazing. I'm glad he's behind that glass but wow! What an amazing specimen!
Then we checked out the hawk and the owl. Super cool and completely out in the open where we were!
Then we went down below where were could see all of the large fish in their gigantic tank. The huge sharks and the sting rays and the great, big sea turtle!
Oh and jelly fish!
Then we headed outside and got a few pictures before walking around and exploring the French Quarter some more!
We all had a Lucky Dog in Jackson square. They were so good that some of us had 2!!!
Then it was off to have beignet. Oh and a muffaleta! Yum, yum, yum!!
Then we walked around and looked in the shops. This mask was awesome. But the one we bought was even cooler!
Then we came home and Mama went through all of our loot that we've collected over the last few days from the parades. This is our combined beads. Mama said we're not taking them home. They probably weigh a metric ton! And it's not even Mardi Gras yet!
Later we all went to dinner at the Rum House. We behaved so well, not surprising. We all did some coloring and then we all played games at the table between eating and having fun! It was an awesome night in New Orleans. It sure is going to be hard to leave here on Wednesday!
