We got up at 4:30 this morning to get on the road to Nashville, Tennessee! We packed into the car and got snuggled up for the long ride ahead...

After a while we all started falling back asleep. Nothing makes you sleepier than riding in a car for long stretches!

Then we made a rainy pit stop in Radford, Virginia, where Daddy went to college. We had breakfast and then Daddy drove us around his old stomping grounds. It was fun to see where Daddy went to school!

Then it was back in the car...Nashville was getting closer and closer!

They had funny highway signs in Nashville! And lots of other funny signs along the way.

Then we finally arrived at our hotel. It was so nice and it had a couple of porch swings inside! Mama and Daddy had a celebratory beer when we finally settled in to our room. We all relaxed for a while until it was time to head out to explore the city!

We went out to a place called Pinewood Social! It was a huge, beautiful restaurant that had a small bowling alley inside. We got to bowl and eat dinner and play and have fun!

After dinner we headed to Broadway to check out the scene in down town Nashville. There was lots of live music and bars and restaurants. Then we got to go to the Candy Kitchen. We were in awe! You couldn't believe how much candy and cookies and chocolate and ice cream and gelato and sweets they had in that place! It was amazing and we all left happy! It was a great, quick visit to Nashville!
