Today was a beautiful sunny day and the wind finally died down so it was time to get to work!
We helped Daddy get all of the top deck furniture out of the porch and set it out where it belongs and will hopefully not blow away now that the wind has gone away!
Then we decided to go put our toes in the sand FINALLY! It's been too cold and windy to go to the beach until today!
We were so excited to get to the shore!
The pelicans were flying by to greet us on our way up the path!
It was a beautiful, sunny day but the wind on the beach sure makes it chilly!
I put my toes in the freezing water and brrrr!!!
We didn't last long before we decided to head back to the house and a little warmth. Still not a beach worthy day!
And the best way to warm back up? the hot tub of course!
Then Daddy and Mama decided to get to work...but first a cocktail in the sun by the pool!
Daddy and Mama placed the new pool furniture in the right spots and then Daddy got to work breaking down the boxes for recycling.
I decided to test out the pool water compared to the hot tub...
Not a great idea!! Boy is that water COLD!
The furniture and the outdoor rug look great out there! And the fan will be great in the summer!
Then we did some chilling and reading by the pool! And playing. It was a great afternoon!
I decided to scoop our foil boats out of the water...then I went IN the water! I guess it's not so cold after all. Or my body is just numb at this point.
For dinner we made a run to Goombay's! We got some major goodies and then we parked at the public beach access on Beach Road to enjoy our dinner covid tailgating style! It's not a bad way to enjoy a meal! And we got to see the beach and enjoy the last bits of warm sunshine!
Then we made a pit stop on the way home to check out the awesome sunset! Look at those colors!
Going...
...Going...
...GONE! What a sunset! We're so glad Daddy had us pull off to check it out! It was a stunner for sure.
Perfect end to a perfect day at the beach! Here's to a beautiful, perfect, sunny, warm Easter Sunday tomorrow!
