Today may have been just about the most perfect day ever! We got an early start to the beach day because the weather called for afternoon thunder storms...It was a clear, sunny, warm, perfect beach day! There was even a sand bar and a great wading pool all set up for us when we got there!

We found lots of sea creatures today. Some sand dollars, some conch, lots of shells and lots of starfish! This guy was on the sand and trying to get back into the water to live and get back to his home. So Mama picked him up and took him to deeper water so that he'd be okay. Phew, we sure were glad about that!

Then we took a walk with Mama, Daddy and Grandma to the lagoon. We saw a great, big bird on our way. Some man was feeding him and he was happy. It was neat to see such a big bird up close! We found a ton of conch shells at the lagoon and lots of big pelicans and other birds.

On our way back from the lagoon the fisherman we saw earlier had a catch! It turned out to be a baby hammer head shark!! We were really excited to see it. We even went up close to have a look!

Then we headed back. We did some playing in the sand and the water. Our friends Dave and Miss Catie and little David came to join us for a little while. Little David got to grab a fish from another fisherman in his net. We were all really excited to see it. Then we released it back into the Gulf!

Then we did a lot more playing in the water. It was so much fun. The weather was so perfectly warm and clear. Thankfully the weathermen got it all wrong today! The water was warm and just the right depth. We had such a ball running through the little waves and playing games and giggling. It was awesome!

Finally we headed up to the hotel pool so the adults could have some 2 for 1 beverages and we could hang out in the water. We never get sick of the water!

I did some flying and Jax even did some major dunks with Daddy. We're all getting braver in the water and just in time for summer! It's time to get those swim lessons going so we're all little sharks in the water, just like Kai!

When we finally got all dried off and dressed in warm clothes we headed out on a lizard hunt! And boy did we find some! We saw all kinds of little guys! We had to be very quiet and sneak up on them so we wouldn't scare them away. They were really cute!

Then we had a little dinner with our family right out by the pool. We got to stop at the ice cream shop for some ice cream cones with sprinkles on them for dessert. And when we got home we had a bath in the dark with glow sticks. The perfect ending to a perfect day! Can't ask for anything better!
