After a leisurely breakfast and morning we headed out to Lariland Farms to pick some apples and pumpkins! When we got there we ran into our friends Mrs. Coll, Liam, Emmet, Andrew and Luke!! We were so happy to see them. But we were sad to hear that the apples on the trees were not ready to be picked. But that's okay, there were plenty of picked apples to take home!
After we grabbed some apples we headed to the broccoli area. We got to search out and pick fresh broccoli. It was so interesting to see how broccoli grows and how Mama had to cut it with a knife. We were really excited about this one! We got a nice bunch and headed on to the pumpkin barn!
At the barn we got to see some goats and some llamas. They were all really cute...from behind the gate! Then we checked out all the super looking pumpkins and gourds and corn and other fun stuff! We all picked some really nice, big pumpkins. We can't wait to carve them!!
On the way home we made a little pit stop at Pollo Mex. Mmmmm!
Then Finn and I got to help Mama make some broccoli cheddar soup. We were really excited to use the beautiful broccoli that we picked from the farm in a real dish. And boy did it turn out well! It was so yummy. We all ate it before heading to the field for Kai's soccer practice.
Then it was time for Friday night on the field! Mama helped set up the Snack Shack. Then I had a great practice and scrimmage with my team and the light blue team. Then we all got to watch the Saints football team play a game on our field. It was so cool! They had cheerleaders and everything. But Finn and Jax got pretty sleepy, it's been a big day for us. So we had to head home. What an awesome day we had!
