Today we were all off school so we went out for an adventure! Mama and Grandma took us to the National Postal Museum! It doesn't sound that interesting but it sure was. And fun too! It was a rainy day but the most exciting part was heading into the city. We love going in to Washington DC.

Not only were there lots of cool things to look at in regard to postal work, stamps, post boxes from around the world, etc. Mama was also really interested in looking at the beautiful architecture inside the building. Including these amazing door handles!

They even had a really cool machine where we could make our own postal stamps. Mama and I decided to make one together. We even made an old time one! I liked it a lot.

We did a lot of inspecting of really old stamps. It's a good thing they provided magnifying glasses. I needed them. I also might become an private investigator. I look the part, don't I?

When we got downstairs we were so excited to see all of the super cool postal vehicles! Airplanes and cargo planes, an old train car that was used for sorting mail, a freight truck cab that we could get into, a horse and buggy from the pony express days and even one of the first mail trucks and a current mail truck. We were loving exploring them all!

There was even a display on Post Secrets that Mama thought was really interesting! We liked seeing all of the post cards and the fun things written on them too!

One of our favorite parts was the sorting area where we could toss packages into bins to make sure they went to the right city. We'd be great postal workers! Or basketball players...

After the museum we headed to Union Station. We ran into my soccer coach and friend Colin's dad, Coach Riley! It was fun to see him outside of the soccer field. We had a nice lunch but Jax decided he was exhausted and he crashed out in his stroller.

For dinner we went to MeMa and PopPop's house to celebrate our PopPop's Birthday!! We got to play with our cousins, we ate a delicious bbq rib dinner, we took some cousin pictures, we helped PopPop blow out his candles and eat his ice cream cake and then we helped him open and wear his Birthday presents!! It was a super fun, busy, awesome day!
